Haven't seen a thread knocking about,

I'm kinda making my way back into Fifa, Think I played a little of 15 and then didn't play console, Managed to pick it up the other day only played and watched a few games. Seems fairly decent.

How you guys finding it? Have any of you built any decent squads?

Anyone got any tips for someone not investing any money into the game and wanting to play with the market. I have around 10-15k coins right now, Not sure what's the best way to go about the market.

Should I take the time to find players? Or go with cosumables?

I can't remeber how I used to do it.

Can't believe a thread has only now come up for this, enjoying this game a lot at the moment. Ultimate team has improved a lot with the SBC and weekend leagues... my tip would be to qualify for those. If you qualify you just need to play 5 games for some perks.

im awful with the market too

I'm not to great the game I feel like the game has progressed a lot since I last played in 2014/2015. Still not sure what formation to have on the game, I'm really bad at defending, So I may just go with 5 at the back. Some good players I've had from the BPL are Jagielka, Williams, Cahill, Bolasie (He is very good, for his price).

The weekend leagues are very good imo, I haven't qualifed for any yet, I haven't tried that much though tbh. I think though they should drop the max games to like 30 games or even less. 40 games in 48 hours seems a bit extreme to me.

As for the market I've been doing pretty well, Without spending any money on the game I'm up like 50k - 60k. I think it would be wise to try buy players on Sunday - Tuesday Just because people will be panic selling players after the weekend leagues are over, So you should be able to pick up a good deal here and there and then wait till like Thrusday and put them up on the market. If you want to make a steady profit you can just buy the fitness cards at around 850 and sell them for 1k-1.1k. It's a small profit but it's steady and you'll know they will sell in the end.

I am atrocious at defending crosses. It seems like people can get high powered headers on target so often, even if they are running away from goal.

Clearly I need to learn how....ha.

Yeah headers are OP af imo. Dzyuba and Carroll are great value for coin players

defending is so much more difficult this year... keeping a clean sheet is so rare... ea put out the first update today but still having the glitch with the kits and they keep changing. pretty annoying!

Yeah I can't defend at all, I'm still learning though. I did actually well with a 3-4-1-2 formation, Like I'm still conceding goals, But the 2 centre mid's are basically defenders.
The only problem I have with the squad is that the LM and RM are playing to deep, even though I have given them instructions to push forward on attack and kinda leave the defenders to defend.

Bolasie is a beast considering his price, Barkley is decent too. The back 3 are all pretty quick and are all strong. Probably going to swap out Musa for Rashford, Musa seems to be a little too weak but still good.

People been hating on Giroud he is a little slow but he does well for me considering his pace.

What do your guys squads look like? Note I haven't spent a penny on the game, So this is all from playing and some profit from the markets.

Talking about the markets, I was trading a load of Renato Sanches making like 2-4k a pop. I have one left on the PS4 and I bought him for 24k but since like Friday/Saturday the cheapest BIN is like around 21k ish with like 15 pages on the market. Should I just keep him and wait? I guess the price isn't going to drop anymore.

Also have any of you made it to the weekend league? I keep getting to the finals in the qualifiers but just end up losing, Not that I have the time for 40 games in 48 hours. They should lower it imo, but I guess it's decent for someone who likes to grind these games out and win some decent prizes.

The one thing that is really bugging me about this game is how it feels game by game. I mean so games it feels super nice and quick, Other games it feels like your players have never played football before, there touch becomes awful they don't make any runs and the passing is all over the place. I thought this would be down to players being unfit or something this happens on 100 fitness.

Question about fitness cards how often are you topping up your fitness? At the moment I'm going for like every 2 games whilst swapping some players in and out of the starting 11 on the 2nd game.

Made it to the weekend league but it's the week I have to go pretty far away to play a football match so that day is gone and the new cod comes out, glad they have extended the league I think the extra day is on friday.

1 thing I have noticed about my game is that I always turn back which makes me easy to read. I need to become better at dribbling and using a little bit of skill. I see guys who can't shoot for **** well they take the wrong opportunities but they are pretty good at dribbling and getting in and around my box.

It's still the same stupid aggro tard game. Set the right sliders and mindless zombies could win just from uber high pressure.

Went 20-20 in the weekend league. I started off so bad, I had like renato sanches, douglas costa, Hernandez. What I thought would be pretty OP but for me it just didn't work. So I like tilt sold players,

Then went for this BPL squad changing to this formation really helped me control a lot of the games, If your not super good at dribbling and taking players on like me and prefer the passing route then this might help you to switch to this formation.

Herrea imo is under rated on this game, He got me a lot of goals, There probably are better players for this position but I think he is decent enough. If you have a BPL squad get Butland and Smalling, I'm trying to find another CB to put a long side him though Zouma isn't really doing it for me he isn't bad though.

yes, you create a player (that you can edit as much as you like later) and play as only that player. You level up playing drop in games with random ppl, or join a club.

Made the mistake of buying a digital copy of this I would sell it for 10 cents on the dollar to buy PES. The controls are just absolutely horrible literally SNES games are better than this. This is the worst soccer game gameplay wise I have ever played. There are so many problems that never get fixed year after year yet new problems are introduced.

Why is it that even though I never play unless the matchup is 3 green bars like 1/3 of the games lag so bad that they are unplayable? And why in the HELL is there no mutual forfeit (like in say LOL) where both players can just agree to a no result in the first 20 minutes if connection is awful, or someone accidentally picks the same color uni?

The worst part is the game sucked from the start but I thought I could adjust to things, just needed to learn the new gameplay, whatever. So I grind it out learning the game against the AI which happens to be way better than low level humans. Now my record is like 30-12 online. Unfortunately playing against any reasonable player is just boring and frustrating. The betting OU unless one team is just terrible is like 1.25 as defense is way overpowered, and the scripted shooting engine makes any shot not right in front of goal basically worthless. Everybody kicks it around with the terrible pass decision AI and random stat-based pass outcome AI causes a pass to go to the wrong player ensuring changes of possession. Eventually a bad player switch or random deflection leads to a goal...almost no goals are related to skill at all. And I am saying this both ways.

This is the last EA game I am ever going to purchase in my life, the last four FIFA games I have played were better than this, and the people in charge of gameplay for this should never work in the industry again.

I've been more interested in the market side of things as well as the SBC's challenges, Anyone else do them? I normally just do the league ones and the marquee match ups.

Do you guys know if there's something you do to switch the throw in taker? Me and me friends play pro clubs and I have the giant throw in trait but it's really tilting when I run over to the player with the ball in his hands and we can't switch

In FUT if you don't touch anything when the ball goes out of bounds it will switch automatically, the player who picks it up initially will drop it and giant throw guy will run up. Don't try to skip the animations.

Anyone still playing FUT? Qualified for weekend league last week, but the input lag was so bad I quit after 10 games. Gameplay has been really broken for me the past month, my players don't make runs, get muscled off the ball by weaklings, and switching to the wrong player makes it damn near impossible to defend.
