I think Fifa is far ahead of other yearly games with how much the game advances. 12 is nothing like 13 and i assume 14 will feel totally different to 13.

Im excited most for changing how shooting works. It often feels like theres only certain types of shots from certain distances that will work and to be able to drill the ball and it not fly into the stand would be nice.

I'm sure they think of new ways every year to advertise the same "new" features. Will probably buy it because i'm a mug and buy it every bloody year, but EA are one of the worst customer service companies in the world. Once they get your money they couldn't give a ****.

Release for PS4 would be good. Don't want to only be able to play it for 3 months before PS4 comes out.

Not as if when the next gen consoles come out the 360 and PS3 are going to cease to work.

Thats what I was thinking, but I guess depending how they do it the "second chance tackling" thing could make a huge difference

I've only been playing FIFA for a couple of years, and after putting 250 hours or so into both '12 and '13, I believe '13 is a much better game. The entire "first touch" mechanism changed gameplay dramatically. So I'll almost certainly be buying '14 as well. The last two games have only been $40 for pc on release date, which doesn't seem like a bad deal to me.

To those who won't be buying it, what improvements would you like to see that you aren't expecting (honest question, not trying to be a dick)? I would like to see the inclusion of more international teams. I don't really understand why there isn't 150+ international teams in the game. Also I'd like more camera angles. Specifically a "pro-like" camera angle that is further back from the player that allows you some idea of what is happening behind you. As is the game seems unplayable to me in pro, which is sad because I think the game would be really fun from a third person perspective.

only thing that really annoys me for online play is that visiting team has to view from whatever the home teams preferred camera angle is. you should be allowed to pick your view no matter what.

also that you have to deal with people who pick stupid balls, like a black one. either let me view the ball as white no matter what, or come up with some sort of simple filtering system.

as far as actual gameplay is concerned i think 13 is pretty spot on. MAYBE work on the speed thing - a 65 speed defender shouldnt be catching up to a 92 speed fwd unless the fwd just has the slowest dribbling setting in the world.

Valid point JRustle, I found myself raging at times in 13 when my guy is small with a lot of pace I should be able to outrun defenders but just couldn't as they turned into Speedsters each time the ball was played over the top. Or when I was 6'7 240 pounds I shouldn't be able to outrun anyone but I should literally be winning 80-85% of flick ons when in reality it would be under 50%. Sense = None

I think they did this to try to cut down on pace abuse, but I agree its sometimes absurd how I can often reel in someone like walcott with a CB

how is that absurd?
just take Arsenal - Everton as an example where distin kept up with theo and got a tackle in by keeping him a little distracted with physical contact(a little tugging)

Yeah, defenders catching up is much more realistic.

Think of the GOAT accelerators, and how many issues they have shrugging off defenders, iniesta, messi, walnut, etc.

Why would I want to play a ps3 game when the ps4 comes out.

You guys mean you can't run as fast while dribbling a ball as you can while straight out sprinting? No wai?!?

Im talking situations where the attacker is clear past the defender and then the defender manages to run up behind him and grab his shirt to pull him back and not even get called for a foul/card. I agree if your side by side then its reasonable

The only thing absurd is distins pace on fifa 13. He is rapid in real life, never gets out run even by agbon, walcott etc

i dont think defenders being almost as fast as strikers is absurd, because they should be able to catch fwds just like in real life.

but just saying that the speed stats dont seem very consistent across positions. like, ogbonna and chiellini NEVER get outpaced, while clichy does. 85 speed should be 85 speed whether its a fwd, mid, or def.

strength plays a big role as it should

if they made the career mode realistic with transfers ect would be great imo

I want an online league system with transfers etc

most fun i ever had playing a videogame was PES5 for PC, you could modify a file and do transfers which worked if the other guy had the same file.
