That's quite the accomplishment! I worked my way up playing mostly as Arsenal in a straightforward manner, but slammed into a brick wall in Division 3. A bit late for me this year, so probably the only way I'll make it to Div. 1 is to try to donk a few lob balls through to Ronaldo.

Admittedly, being butthurt and playing a few games w/ Chamakh up front instead is a surefire way to relegation.

Haha yeah I changed the team to Walcott up front Chamberlain on right and Gervinho on left now, actually still doing okay though just because they are all so fast. RVP will never kick a ball under my management again. (unless he signs a new deal)

Whats with the RVP hate?(coming from a guy who really never liked him)

A few things:

1, it was so obvious he was going, just from reading body language and his reply in interviews towards the end of last season.

2, as soon as Wenger paid £11m for that perrenial under-achiever Podolski, you knew the writing was on the wall. When would Wenger ever pay £11m for what I call a "Spurs type" of player. Big name, no substance, the type of player Spurs have signed over and over again for the last 20 years.

3, you are one of the richest clubs in the world, yet its like you are run by thrill seekers. Who seemingly enjoy being on the edge of missing out on CL qualification. Its like they are waiting for the club to fail before they try to rebuild. At which point it will be harder to attract the right quality, and you will have to pay higher wages in order to attract. Instead of just building from a position of strength continually a little every year.

4, due to this, what do you see Arsenal achieving with or without RVP in the next 3-4 years? With RVP I see you battling for 4th, happy to get to the knockout stages of the CL, and hoping your kids can get you into the latter stages of domestic cups. Without RVP I fear for Arsenal.

Obviously the fans are always hurt when the club loses its star player. I remember when we lost Gareth Barry(its all relative). I, like a ton of other fans, was hurt, but thats not to say I showed him any hate and I really couldnt understand those that did. He spent a similar amount of time at Villa that RVP has at Arsenal, but without winning anything, and the occassion late run in the cups or Europa league that the manager didnt take seriously. He left wanting CL football and trophies, big chunks of Villa fans hated him for choosing City over Liverpool, saying it was clearly about the money. Look at him now, won an FA Cup, League title and played in the CL. Great decision made by him IMO.


The only thing for me about the RVP situation is that there is no obvious move for him. Non of the big English clubs would be a fit for him, and its unlikely he would want to go to any of Arsenals rivals anyway. City already have so much attacking talent, Utd have Rooney, who would already be seen as too similar to RVP, Chelsea would be an option but they are looking for younger players, the only way I could see that happening is if Torres went the other way. Then there is Liverpool and Spurs, both would be a great option for the club, but a step backwards for RVP. The 2 big clubs in Spain wouldnt seem to work from the clubs point of view. Going anywhere else would seem like a step sideways at best. Juventus? lol, AC Milan are trying to go in a new direction after having ageing players for so long, hence the Pirlo situation. Bayern maybe? But they already have so many attacking players.

Who is going to want to spend £20m+ on a 29 year old with 1 year left on his contract?

Having said all the things Ive said already regarding ambition and direction. Yea I fully understand and agree with Robin's viewpoint, but it just seems like there is no better option available to him. Not unless a move to Chelsea or Man Utd became available, and that would piss off the fans more than anything.

What is up with the player stats for UT? Why are there only six stats as opposed to the huge amount in single player? It seems like this is really dumbed down if that is it.


Also, is there a way to customize my team tactics and formations? I want to play a modified 4-3-3 but I can't figure out how to change things.

Couple questions.. My bro in law is having two friends over later for some fifa.. If those three are on one xbox and I'm on a different one over XBL can we play 2 on each team or would those 3 have to be together?

Also would the four of us be able to do a quick online match vs another team of people like in NHL or would we have to set up a club?

First question... You can do that, you just have to find the 2v2 lobby. But game will me much smoother if you all play from the same console. In my experience 2v2 isnt very smooth.

Just played vs a 5-0-5 custom formation in div 1, he was awful but it gave me my first loss in about 15 games lol

I used to play 3-5-2 on UT and imo u needed the LM/RM to have at least medium workrate on defence unless your happy letting the other team attack your wings with ease.

Solid back 3 though no one should be getting through them.

Just got rid of EPL 3-4-1-2.

Had Aguero CF and Torres Lukaku and Hernandez rotated at ST.

Enjoyed the formation tbh, I used Bale and Valencia as LM/RM.

You know how I hate most formations, I have switched back to 4222 again, but I actually did like this formation. I think keys are RM/LM have to be able to defend a little(no fullbacks covering them). I think the CM spots desperately need high def work rate. Your back 3 get way too isolated if your midfield 4 are all attack minded.

2 outside CBs need pace, they will get pulled out of position chasing wingers/fast strikers a fair amount.

Ive built hundreds of teams on FUT, and recently went back to the team I built to start with. EPL 4222. All of a sudden my winrate is back to what it used to be. I barely ever lose a game, atm Im crushing semis/finals by rediculous scorelines. Ive completely mastered PD now and I am crushing with it. I spend 80% of the time just making people look silly with that now, lol

I really dont want FIFA 13 to come out, lol
