This seems vital for late game but it's definitely quite a long way down the tree. I've got guns and it's 2.5 billion research for the next tech (engines). I got the next set of research buildings too, which require both metal and gas&oil reports and cost a fortune to run (~100k/tick). I'm currently at ~$500k and 1200 research/tick, with 9 ticks/s.

cleaned up a lot of nonfunctioning **** as well, got it up to 62K/tick, just waiting for that gun research

FML saved up $12 Billion in order to upgrade my plastic and electronics production lines all at once only to find out oil and coal now need 2 outgoing belts to run @ 100%. Time to blow everything up again and rebuild from square 1

Not a big fan of the upgrade process. There's little standardization: some upgrades are 50%, 100%, 300%, etc., and there's not a real discernible way to tell how an upgrade will impact you: having to add two outputs and such.

Also, there's no obvious way to tell how the upgrades work together so that you can do things like upgrade everything in a line all at once and expect it to work flawlessly.

Perhaps that's supposed to be part of the fun? Or maybe that's why there's three save slots.

The upgrade says what it will do, and you know what you have... for instance, right now I have plastic at 8/8/4 to produce 2. The next upgrades increases everything 50%, so it would take 12/12/6 to produce 3. That'll require multiple coal/oil lines to run at 100% (I could split them across 3 lines if needed rather than running two each). Oil is currently at 8, next upgrade is +50% to 12, fine. Coal is at 8, next upgrade +50% to 16, that doesn't match up but I'm not super concerned. Gas is +100% from 4 to 8, fine.

Now what can I do w/3 outputs? I have electronics, so it makes sense to produce those for sellin'. Right now it takes 4 plastic and 2 silicon to make 1 electronic, and the next upgrade doubles it to 8/4 to make 2. Getting 8 plastic in when I have 6 coming out is going to be weird. Efficiency would go down, and it would take a lot of reworking my lines for a moderate increase in money made per area.

So with my current upgrade level, it makes sense to build enough electronic lines to keep some $ coming in, while devoting most other space to research for guns.

Few hours from guns here, but will only have about ten or fifteen billion in cash once I hit it. Not sure if I should go for the next chrono upgrade before worry about cash. Currently at 8 ticks per second

15 billion is reasonable to get started with guns. One production line costs around 3 billion so you can get going reasonably well with that. That said, the chrono upgrades and I would normally get them as soon as I can but if you've left it a while and are close to the next tech it's probably better to wait.

Personally, after doing basically nothing for 2 days, I've finally hit engines. I can fit 2 production lines in the space I have for the second factory (probably a 3rd once I've bought all the plots) and that is making 1.67million/tick.

yeah, it'd be about 62 hours of not playing to get the chrono-upgrade. I'm fine waiting to focus on research until i get a buttload of cash from guns. Which is an odd statement to find oneself making.

You'll catch up super quick. You really do rake in money with guns. Iron buyer and crafter upgrades were pricy tho. Nice only having one of each. Lousy three outputs for buyer.

I just got Electronics, farming the cash to get all my plastics sellers upgraded to Electronics, farm a little more cash to buy the new factory, then do the research push for guns.

Any idea why I can't connect the output of the bottom gas/oil lab in the left-middle building? I have tried every configuration down there and it always blocks the last connection, almost like there's a limit to branches in a building or something?

had the same problem myself... luckily i had enough space to just rearrange a few outgoing belts, but I couldn't set it up the way I wanted to and there was no reason why it shouldn't have worked.

kinda losing my enthusiasm 4 the game. Even if you play at 100% efficiency it seems like once you hit the mid stages where most of us are, it is days between making meaningful moves/upgrades.

Just left the game running overnight for ~7 hours and I'm @$337k/tick which should be about $9.7 billion/hr but when I got up I only made $20 billion?????

Game takes long enough normally, n/m when it is not running nearly as fast as it says it should be.

wtf is this analytics center research thing? 20 metal/32 gas & oil reports to make 20 big data reports/20 waste? Several billion per. I can't even. Not even a little.
