I can host this weekend since I'm at home. Not sure if I trust my apartments connection to do it regularly, but this week at least I can. I think 12pm EST is a good start time. I'll send out PMs to everybody, but if we could all add each other on gtalk or msn that would make co-ordinating much easier.

One other thing, it's p. standard in paradox mp games to write up AARs after a session. It's what we've done in the past and seeing all the different perspectives is pretty awesome and entertaining.. They don't have to be in-depth or remotely appropriate, just fun to read. In the past we haven't really offered a reward for doing them but since it's standard practice in other MP games I was thinking we could include the reward options of either +2 magistrates or +10 X Tradition, whichever the player wants.

On a serious note how long does paying a tribute last? 1 year, 5 years, until cancelled? Don't think I've ever payed one in any game I've played.

Afaik tributes are one-off cash payments at peace negotiation.

not vs horde countries. You can negotiate a peace where you pay a monthly tribute, dunno for how long.

Last time I played (a few beta patches before 5.1 official), tribute to a horde lasts until otherwise cancelled; it's basically the only lasting peace option. I think it's mechanically a lot like vassalization payments, except lower, and obviously doesn't make your country a vassal. Otherwise it's war every 5 years. lolhordes.

On the plus side, your tribute would go 100% towards my stability and govt research costs, which are what I need to get out of horde status and end the possibility of those tributes (govt tevh 4 + some indian territory)

honestly, seeing as Ranok starts with Eastern Swarm Cav (more than twice as good as ottoman starting cav), I'd give him the money. It's cheaper.

Also, you'd probably lose.

As far as the Timurids go I'd be willing to Concede Defeat right off the bat. Then you can focus on the east.

Best offer: You give tribute from day 1, and I'll send Ereseum (sp?) province over when I convert to Mughals. Probably cheaper (or at least similar cost) to tribute and trade for that prov than to fight and colonize.

How long does it take to form Mughals roughly?

Hansa offer all of its amazing cool European neighbors a lot of party favors and cheer. I would like England to join my trade league because I have endless stupid missions to do so. When I am the last trade league I will probably offer membership for a 1 time fee.

I really don't know how long exactly (or approx) it takes to form Mughals except to say it shouldn't be too long. It requires Govt tehc 4 (probably the slowest part - 1 level of research, but at slow horde speed) and owning some territory in India (which I'll be acquiring naturally anyways). Wild guess, probably happen sometime in the 2nd week's game.
