If you post your entire draft pool we might be able to give some pointers, it sounds like you took too long to pick colors if you were short on playables.

time justice had always been fine for me. time has several low rarity big creatures which are always good in limited formats.

Think I went with too many rares/uncommons just to have them even though they didn't fit deck - made a blunder first round going with that centaur Chieftan over a weapon I could have used in the final deck (cone to think of it I took cards just to add to my collection if I liked them and didn't have many of them versus taking more useful cards that I already had 3-4 of). That said I think I have some decent stuff and may just have run badly the first 2 games, my first opponent used grenadins and torch pretty effectively against me. How do I post the draft pool and my picks? Would love some feedback since I went in with just the rank list from Nov and my experience playing.

What happens if I equip a second relic weapon? Do they stack?

no it replaces

Also you lose all the armor the other had, it doesn't add on like it does if you have armor before you equip a weapon.

Playing a deck similar to JH's last post, but more fleshed out with recurring nightmares. I get matched up against a time justice deck that's managed to neutralize three of my nightmares with desert marshals or sandstorm titan. We're on turn twenty something and I use wisdom of the elders, drawing haunting scream and his board has nothing that can deal with a lethal nightmare next turn. He uses the ability on knight-chancellor siraf to get a random time justice unit and plays... Nictotraxian.

Here's a version of Rakano I made.

What cards should I be upgrading first? I heard Deepforged plate is a great legendary to run.

I would upgrade in this order:
Javelin
Shogun
Sentry
Paladin
Maul
Deserter
(Pyroknight if you're going for righteous rakano)

You want 3 more Valkyrie Enforcers, 1 Sword of Icaria, 2 Hammer of Mights, 2 Plates, maybe 2 soulfire drakes

Alright made some more hammers and Valkyries, thanks.

Awesome.

Just made master in ranked and draft First season for both.

Got a little confidence after burning through a couple of rounds of forge yesterday so had another draft this morning. Was left with a lot of purple at first so decided to build around that but then it got dicey so I ended up with three colors. Went for a deck where I can draw through a lot of cards, cheap purple units, and some removal with the idea that I can maybe get my quartermaster out and draw some extra cards using weapons. Horsesnatcher bat is the bomb card, not great I realize. For my first run through I will try cards that take things from the void but I may need to get rid of those if they don't seem useful (edit: switched out one haunting scream for a Ruin).

This game has a lot of the look and feel of TESL

I guess that's because DireWolf is involved in both games

Went 3 and 3, one game conceded before it even started. Ran into some surprisingly strong removal decks and one guy dropped two bombs by turn 6 (Champion of Cunning and the purple QuickDraw legendary). One bad redraw where I couldn't find a unit and that's all she wrote. Definitely getting a better feel, though.

Passed on a legendary first pack because I would never use it - good idea to maximize draft potential or just take it for the shiftstone and worry about the draft after?

I'd take the shiftstone. I actually rare draft pretty aggressively as well, so long as I'm going to have enough cards for a full deck. Those 200 and 800's can add up.

i take every legendary and foil rare

Yeah figured... wondering now if I did actually take it because the uncommons were kinda garbage. Never realized how much I needed a CCG with drafting in my life - wish there was a free draft mode where you didn't keep the cards because I can't imagine liking ranked as much as draft.

Been playing this for about a week now and haven't even thought about opening HS since. Enjoying the draft format but still feel like I have no idea what i'm doing since HS was my first card game and I have no magic experience.

What would you guys change about this draft to deck cut?

full playable card deck

Final deck

My thoughts (please take with large serving of salt since I'm an amateur) are to drop the single Static Bolt, maybe use backlash instead? I also think Scheme and Direfang could be useful draft cards, maybe get rid of a couple high cost units? (one Frostkin or one Aerial Ace?) Feel like it's nice to be able to do something at 1 power and Direfang can make someone think twice about attacking early even if they get a good unit.

Edit: Def listen to Krayz though

Nah, everyone's input is important. Frostkin is an important way to get his infiltrate in, so I wouldn't cut that. It's also a lot better than it looks in general. Backlash would be my first add as well, but not for removal. It's very good in decks light on combat tricks. 2nd Aerial Ace or Vulture is also his worst card. There are definitely arguments for a few cards over others but there isn't any obvious conclusions I don't think.

gonna be honest, when you can get masters in less than two weeks of playing the game its really not that satisfying

Do you mean that from the perspective of laddering was too fast or the games are too soft?
Eternal CCG (rip hearthstone) Quote

mostly the first I guess which could be caused by the second? I like constructed more than limited formats so it just doesn't feel like I'm building towards something or that I did anything. maybe thats dumb since games could easily be enjoyed for themselves but people generally like reaching goals. just felt empty compared to finally hitting legend
