If you record a draft I'll watch it and give you pointers (I'm currently Diamond).
Ended up finding a guy named "Zooch Z" yesterday on Youtube, who is (or was at least, at the time) the #1 rank drafter. He only has 2 draft videos, but it definitely really helped. Have gone 6-3 and 5-3 since.

I was partially just copying his deck theme though, so seeing a totally fresh take on draft will help.

Found the guy you are referring to, will watch a few more videos today before trying some more drafts.

I'd check some Twitch VODS of SirRhino who is one of the better players I have seen in draft that streams quite often. There will be more than enough draft content there.

how often are cards nerfed? disenchanting something I could get full dust for later would be a disaster

also are all quests just for 2 silver chests or should all of those be rerolled in hopes of something bigger?

wikia for this game is very lacking

just play red/yellow or red/green, I hit masters from mindlessly grinding at work/waiting for train. AI is exploitable and will never bluff or make/take a bad trade, and you can easily bait them into huge value with fast spells like torch or finest hour or rally.

The only cards you can get full dust for are ones you manually crafted yourself.

Anything you open in packs you don't get full dust for if it becomes nerfed, so there is never a reason to hold onto excess or junk stuff unlike HS.

That is very good to know. A lot of aspects of this game are well thought out.

I played for a while early in the beta. I signed up against over the weekend and grinded out the red/purple burn deck that some site listed as the best deck.

They really fixed the draft. It used to be so miserable. Red and green were the only playable colors and every game ended because you put a weapon on some guy that had a keyword ability.

Surprised they haven't changed Sandstorm Titan or the mulligan system.

Had a nice draft where everything seemed to come together and pulled off my first 7-1. Red was left wide open and was getting passed cards like Warband Chieftain in 5-6th round.

Almost out of silver league.

Just got a foil of Talir Who Seeks Beyond. As far as I can tell, not a tournament viable card. Just take the 3200 dust and craft something useful I am guessing?
Eternal CCG (rip hearthstone) Quote

dust every "foil" imo. they dont even look that different
Eternal CCG (rip hearthstone) Quote

Yea that's dust even if it somehow became good you probably wouldn't want more than 1.

AFAIK the only good starter legend is the Black one
Eternal CCG (rip hearthstone) Quote

I already have a regular one too, so yeah, easy dust I guess.

The "foils" are pretty disappointing in this game, light particle effect. Anything under a rare probably isn't worth dusting though since it's a pretty negligible amount of dust.

yea I finally figured this out. won several games because the AI would absolute refuse to trade anything, when he had a huge board advantage and could have easily closed it out by brute force.

Yeah, I watched Zooch's videos and really liked them.

The Pick1Pack1 channel has 2 people now-Kozzi seems a lot better than the new guy CloudedPage from what I've seen.

Kozi and SirRhino are good watches so far, thanks for the suggestions guys.

Another 7-1 in draft. This time with a Combrei deck which doesn't seem to popular in the video's I see. The 3 awakened students was just ridiculous, and ran away with it a few times. Had some turn 4-5 concedes. People who got around those just had to deal with the flying warcry army and late game Conduit / Carnosaur.

Dang, that is a very nice deck. Most people (myself included) don't like Combrei since it's really hard to come back if you fall behind. But, if you hit an awakened student on turn 2 every time then it's pretttttttty good.

How do I show my draft deck like that?

also went 0-3

two things I constantly forget in this game

1) how huge a 75 card deck is. i made a red/purple somewhat aggro deck with 4 of the card that lets you get a bunch of things back from the graveyard and have gone several games without seeing it.

2) you cant equip a weapon and SMOrc when they have an exhausted unit

75 cards is so combo isn't consistent enough to dominate. It can be annoying but it makes sense for balance purposes.
