Just lost a close game where my opponent is at 1hp and has impending doom on board, zero cards in hand, topdecks flame burst at 7 mana. I just so happen to be at 7hp....

I emoted him thinking it was over

Yeah sometimes you draw the cards in the wrong order but you have ridiculous damage output often connecting with a impending doom once and dropping a harbinger is enough. You just have to push around 10- 12 damage with minions at some point. That is usually doable.

I'm always afraid to do that even when pretty sure game is won; luckily most of the phrases are non-offensive and can be used in either situation (winning or losing).

Draft is so funny, top decked 2 straights wins yesterday. One I was outnumbered and dead to an attack but had saved 2 units - pulled ghostform to go with my rapid shot to get 6 points of lethal damage. Next game I was falling behind and pulled a lightning storm (had dropped Witch a few turns earlier); 2 of my units survive. Next turn he drops Scouting Party and I draw...my second lightning storm.

Not sure how much you can offend someone with those phrases - worst I could see is mocking someone for an obvious screw up (like when I cast my levitate AFTER blockers are declared and it fails).

I think anyone who has spent some time in Hearthstone is well aware of how offensive you can be with a few "intended-to-be-positive" emotes.

I kind of hate the emote system because how ambiguous it can be. I'd honestly just rather the odd guy losing his **** on me in a chat window for whatever play he deemed cheap then try to differentiate whether the guy saying "Well Played!" after I was mana stuck all match was trying to be a dick or not.

I haunted scream'd after I already attacked in a turn

then spammed emotes because I was tilted with myself

me and the opponent kept doing the BWAHAHAHA emote, then we added each other after and talked decks.

Don't try and be offended, sometimes it's going to happen, but look to have fun and you'll find it

What is BMed btw? But yeah I wouldn't mind a chat system - I think the obnoxious people would be outweighed by genuine good discussion, and you can always mute if needed.

Sometimes I will spam emotes when a player takes forever to play each hand - then I rage quit if they are ahead or dance on their ashes when I win. Other than that I don't care what happens.

I was 87 points gold 1, then lost until I had zero points gold 1.

wtf is wrong with me, it legit feels like no deck can get wins for me right now

I get beat by stonescar with standard open. I then play that exact stonescar deck and get rolled by a time/justice deck with heals and armor.

New patch with a number of fixes based on user feedback - gotta love these devs. Not sure how I feel about the voices but I appreciate the effort. For anyone who doesn't have it, the iPad version works great already.

Gotta love losing a game of draft up 37-4...and realizing you would have won if you had just sacrificed your stupid ticking grenadin earlier instead of hoping for some miracle way of using it to push through damage (forgot I had a temper in my deck).

I'm super salty right now. I had a mediocre G/R deck in a draft, but I managed to make some good trades against a passive (for a very good reason) opponent. My opponent plays Xenan Obelisk into Yeti Scouting Party. Turns out he waited for 8 mana to play Striking Snake Formation on all his dudes. Second game my opponent has Oni Quartermaster in play on turn 7, he/she plays Ornate Katana into Ornate Katana into Granite Acolyte drawing 5 cards.

I mostly use emotes once when someone is not doing anything during his/her turn. It's sometimes easy to miss that you have the priority.

The new VO + SFX stuff is okay. I think they should have just done some good quality VO on play for Rare+Legendary cards and left it at that. Some of the sound effects, like when Grenadin's attack, sounds pretty cheap and is slightly annoying.

This season's badge on current rank is also a nice update, but it seems that it kills any kind of end-of-season ranking push since that badge doesn't matter the following month.
