I'm 1000% taking Nov. 11 off of work (it's a Friday!)

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

still play Oblivion, currently using a breton and trying for as many hand to hand kills as possible. We'll need another 360 before the release date at my house, its a favourite of my sons also

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

One thing I hated about Oblivion was how much repetition there was in dungeon types and bestiary.

Hope they change that up or 300H of gameplay becomes moot as far as I am concerned.

They have 12 times as many dungeon designers (12 instead of 1) and by looking at some of those dungeons they look a lot less like the cookie cutter "connect prefabricated rooms together" type dungeons from oblivion and fallout.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I liked dungeon diving in Oblivioin. But I also really like the "do something somewhat repetitive and every once in a while get a nice reward" style.

Can't wait for this. Can't decide if I'm going to get it on PC or PS3.

150 dungeons? I hope there's some incentive to explore them.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

PC purchase and its not even close: If this game releases Nov 11th, I'll be buying and installing it around March 1st - by then some nice mods will be out (not going to waste my first play-through on this game if there's obvious balance/gameplay issues).

Those graphics look pretty sick.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

If I had to pick one game to play all year, this would be it AINEC.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

pretty crazy to get this on anything besides pc imo

unless you have a really crappy pc I guess. Even then this game would justify a video card upgrade

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I would not buy this game for a console. I tried Oblivion for PS3 and I didn't like it at all. From what I was told these games are all about the MODS.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I know I'm going to get hell for this but I really wish they created some kind of VATS system for these games. It works for melee attacks in the FO games I don't see why it wouldn't work for these games. I couldn't get passed all the moving backwards while swinging my sword in Oblivion. I just think it would be a nice option for someone like me who generally sucks at video games.

Strange it isn't coming out on a Tuesday like all other games. I guess 11/11/11 is too good to pass up.
