Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I would hope not, if only because the reaction to it in Oblivion was so violent.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I kinda liked the leveling system in Oblivion. At least it didn't bother me as much as it seems to bother other people. I just embraced it and spent about 5 hours doing some very "efficient leveling." After that I was very powerful and able to handle just about anything in the game. I enjoyed the level of control I had over the difficulty of the mobs vs. my OP-ness.

I'm not sure how the experience would have been without it. If it could have been just as fun without having to spend the time mashing my heal button for hours just to level it, then I'm all for a "regular" leveling system.

They are speaking abut the mobs leveling too every time you level. It's just stupid that it takes you two hits to kill a rat at level 1 and the same two hits at level 25. Or that a dragon sucks donkey balls just because you see it while you are level one.

OOO fixes that by giving each mob a fixed level interval, so a dragon will always be a wtfpwnzor or guards don't still 1-shot you after you are level 23534 and just killed all evil in this world.

Dragons are on haitus during the time of oblivion. I think something happens in Oblivion that sets in motion for them to be released in Skyrim, but the details are ahzy I havent played it in a long time.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

all the random npcs running around with daedric and glass armor and weapons when you're high level is really dumb too. hey let's not make that stuff rare or anything.

i powerleveled too but i still hate the world leveling. it's fine to have certain dungeons or areas or whatever scale but i think having everything scale makes the game less immersive.

+1, digging through random dungeons in Morrowind to find a piece of Daedric armor at the end was so awesome, completely missing from Oblivion since you couldn't even get any Daedric armor until level y and every NPC had them by level y+4

Haven't tried that morroblivion yet, but I did reinstall morrowind+expansions and got the morrowind sound and graphic overhaul working. Game looks fantastic.
