Seems like a direct console port of the UI. Who cares though, I'm sure it works well enough and there'll be a mod to fix it in 3 days. I wouldn't get too worked up about it.

Easily my biggest beef with console games that get released on the PC.

Just because console users only have 8 buttons on their input devices, don't punish those of us with hundreds. (modifiers 4tw)

Ya it's annoying but what can you do? It's more annoying when they release some PC version that plain doesn't work, or don't release it on PC at all. Having to tweak the .ini takes like 3 seconds.

Also I don't know if that was with all the tweaks listed in this thread, which apparently stretch the game above max settings (and make it look quite good). Stretching the FOV to 90 may disable achievements apparently.

whats the reasoning behind this not being released for everyone at the same time? I have 4 hours of free time right now and my fully pre-loaded copy of the game is sitting in my steam library mocking me

so i preordered the game from gamestop. will i still have to DL this off steam? if so, can I pre-load it today? i'm searching the steam site and can't find where to pre-load...can anyone hook a brotha up with the link?

If you bought a physical copy of the PC version you'll only have to download patches from Steam. You'll install the game from your discs then activate it through steam and get any necessary patches.

I don't think you can pre-load it unless you bought it on Steam, though.

You need to activate your CD key on Steam to add to the library.

So for that, you would require the physical copy.

It's easier to just buy on steam and cancel the physical box order imo. The last game I went out and purchased a box for was Age of Conan (prior to that was Warcraft 3 maybe?).

Yeah honestly unless the retail box comes with something extra that you want, just get it on Steam!
