Days Gone and Spiderman are the only games they showed that interest me and I'm still not completely sold on Spiderman.

Last year was a lot better.

Well, this was the worst E3 ever. Unless nintendo kills it all 3 pressers will have been sub par.

God of War looks great, rest of it was literally trash imo.

Not the best show from Sony, but maybe still the best show of the year - overall a pretty bad year

Have to wonder if Sony are doing a Gamescom or Paris Games Week or something in a couple months so saving some of the big guns. Where the hell was a GT release date / GT Sport at all?!?!

There was never going to be any TLOU2 stuff. It was only 6 months ago they revealed it, with the caveat of "this is super early, basically nothing has been done yet!". They almost certainly weren't going to show it again until gameplay is ready. Perhaps they would have been better served with a less impactful PSX closer and saving TLOU2 reveal for this, but idk.

Glad to see some solid VR support. You're insane if thought there wouldn't be any. PSVR is the best selling VR by significant margin, yet people constantly say "Sony doesn't support their VR". "If they don't show VR stuff at E3 we'll know it's totally dead". What are they to do.

Pretty sure they showed nothing that isn't a full console exclusive, other than the marketing deal mandatory content for CoD and Destiny 2. A marked contrast to Microsoft shouting "EXCLUSIVE" over anything that isn't really an exclusive of any sort. And a lol true, but slightly unnecessary jab by the CEO about MS closing their show with someone else's multiplat game.

I liked how Sony showed a bunch of trailers before the conference, like 10-15, but most people probably didn't watch that and came away thinking it was pretty light. Other than the Twitch technical issues the show went well, good pacing, not much talking, games games games. Nothing I was personally interested in, though the only thing that would fit that bill these days console related would be something new from From.

Oh the Sony pre-show was superb. It's a shame IGN etc didn't show it

Matterfall game play reveal, Polyphony Digital studio tour, Mark Cerny interview were all great!

And yes, where the F was From Software / Bloodborne 2 or whatever. Back to my "I wonder if they're going back to doing another show this summer" point above. TGS is a given but that's optimistic for a From Software game these days I reckon.

Sony was pretty underwhelming. Spiderman seems cool but very Akham-like and QTE. Detroit seems like a lot of fluff and gave me original Watch Dogs reveal vibes. No interest in GOW. SOTC remake is great news. Monster Hunter is a big deal but not my thing. Days Gone is another zombie game. Cool to see VR stuff get some play but what was shown didn't really get me excited. Superhot VR would be awesome though.

If anyone is "winning" this E3 it's Ubi. AC: Egypt, BGAE 2, FC5 and Mario X-Com all looked great.

Have to agree with everyone - the pressers ****ing sucked. I'll be in LA tomorrow but thankfully away from the floor and going to parties. Be on the floor in two days, will make sure to take plenty of pics and (hopefully!) get a chance at Mario assuming the line isn't long. Boozing > gaming

Being a GOW fan I'll still play it, but it didn't wow me as much as I was hoping...still I try not to read too much into a quick video or too. I was definitely disappointed there was no Bloodborne 2, but it is what it is. Hopefully Nintendo reveals a peak at a Metroid.

Pretty meh year in general.

- Tentatively interested in Anthem but need to see way more on it, plus Bioware hasn't made a good game in 5+ years.
- Nothing from Microsoft or Bethesda interested me. Nothing from Nintendo has interested me in 10+ years.
- Assassin's Creed Origins and Far Cry 5 both looked fine, not sure if I'll ever play them. Haven't played the last installments of either franchise.
- Hyped for Beyond Good and Evil 2, assuming it ever actually comes out.
- Detroit: Become Human became less interesting when I found out it is noted ****ty writer/director/maker-of-garbage-games David Cage's latest game. Pretty sure I blocked out that fact since last E3.
- Spider-Man looks good and I'm interested but need to see more gameplay. A lot of QTEs during the helicopter chase but the earlier section played like it was QTE heavy without actually showing us the QTEs.
- Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite looks ****ing terrible.
- Destiny 2 is a game I want to like but just seems to be the definition of generic. At least since it comes out on PC 6 weeks after console I can see if it is as shallow as the first one before I buy.
- Battlefront 2 looks great. Excited about the Campaign and more launch content then the original.
- New South Park game looks basically exactly like the first game with a different theme which is completely fine.
- Disappointed there was nothing about Cyberpunk 2077.
- On an unrelated note I final bought Horizon Zero Dawn.

I don't think MS did enough to gain fans. Most of their announcements and even Scorpio itself was tailored to existing owners. Battlegrounds is a huge exclusive though and I'll be interested to see how well it will go with a console audience.

Love the apparent huge open worlds of Mario, don't know about this possession mechanic.

Maybe it's time to break out that copy of N64 Space Station Silicon Valley again.

Why does E3 even exist anymore? Companies can do their press conferences anytime of the year, can get out info/videos/screens at any time via the internet, etc. Plus, the companies end up competing with each other for people's time and interest. Apple stopped doing press conferences at Macworld because they wanted to announce things on their schedule, rather than the conference's schedule, for example.

As expect a very meh E3. Nothing I saw got me all that excited. God of War looks kinda interesting I guess. I hope it's strongly action focused and not story. Him and the kid give off a Last of Us vibe and the developers keep talking about like their bond and **** and I'm like ugh, I want an action smash em up. Not every game has to be this mature cinematic BS. Games are still allowed to be just fun ya know. I'm skeptical of the new direction but willing to see and hear more.

Surprised to see Shadow of the Colossus getting another remake. I mean, they just remastered it last generation for the PS3, kinda odd to do so again. I can only hope it's an exact 1 to 1 remake of the original game with just better graphics and controls. If they try to change anything that's a sacrilege. I won't be getting it but for anybody else who happened to miss this game over the years, you should definitely get it (assuming it's unchanged). It really is a masterpiece and unlike any game you've probably played before. It also has one of the best soundtracks in video game history.

Well well well. Metroid Prime 4 is def. welcome news. Hopefully they deliver a hardcore traditional Metroid experience in line with Prime 1&2, with obviously a few new twists thrown in. They said a new development team was working on it? I assume that means one outside Nintendo? I'm not sure why Nintendo is so against making Metroid games themselves and has instead been farming them out for the past 20 years. Obviously Retro Studios did an awesome job so it can work. I guess their in house talent is more focused on bigger sellers (Metroid has always been received very 'meh' in Japan)

Not really sure why they are bothering with a DS remake of Metroid II. I guess because there is a Switch Metroid on the way and it was probably an easy project to do. It looks like it is probably fun but not really Metroidy to me. Not feeling melee fighting and it's way too colorful, all the footage I saw was bright pink and purple and pastels all over the place.

Mario looks great, and will be picking it up.

Nintendo has a less than 30 min show and it's the best... lololol.

Dragon ball fighting game looks awesome after seeing some of it in action.

Just left the floor. I'm bummed that the first time i got to go it was also open to the public because the lines to play were insane. I think in future years they'll probably go one day trade then two days public.

Still stuck in line for mario though, so awesome. Outside of that Forza looked ****ing incredible. They had two setups with car seat, pedals etc. that moved with it, bet it rocked but line was ridiculous. Biased but Bethesda booth looked really awesome and the VR stuff looked pretty legit, very little VR overall which kind of surprised me. Lots of toy building amiibo style stuff which i don't really get but looks like Lego are getting involved so they'll print money with that and their minecraft knockoff.

As i was leaving heard someone say the wait was over two hours. Looked and it was for Call of Duty lolol at going to E3 to wait to play that
