And on a more serious note, you always play mid now? How does that work? Seems to be where everyone (who deems themselves more worthy than their team) locks their hero portrait asap.
I am, but I also carry a TP (or 3) at all times so I'm not the kind of mid who doesn't gank or respond to pressure.
You're correct about people locking mid, but I've just tried to be that guy who does it first. There are still games where some other guy puts his behind mine and then first picks SF. Then you gotta adapt and hope he doesn't suck.
In games where everyone goes full 3k and you wind up with 4 agility carries against a real lineup, you just accept that you can't win them all. Also, mute early, mute often. Wait 5 mins to queue next if you get an extremely toxic team.

Sometimes in Dota just sitting back and making people waste the time on rotating is the best strategic move... hard to get used to, since it's like winning by doing nothing but it really can make a difference if people send 3 on you and they have to waste their time with a wasted gank (higher TP cd's now too).
Yep. Easily the least understood concept in 3k. Same goes for the offlane. If you're against a Sven/AA/Rhasta trilane as offlane Necro, just leave. Go find something else to do. We have a jungle Huskar
and our mid isn't going to be able to fix your ****ty lane at level 4. Soak exp behind tower or go jungle with the Huskar, because you feeding the Sven isn't helping. Wait for the supports to go away before trying to contest the lane.
You can usually see a lineup loss right after the draft, but too many people help it along by not taking basic precautions to avoid feeding.
