whats the quickest way to lvl 20 (ranked matches)? ive played 120 games and lvl 15

The lvl 20 requirement seems too strict now that accounts need to be linked to a phone # to play ranked

How are smurfs great?

I'm not saying this is necessarily the solution, but smurfs actually ruin the game for new players.

plenty of other competitive multiplayer games have dealt just fine with smurfs, mostly by completely ignoring a non-problem. The ability to create a new account, try new things, and yes, stomp noobs, is a good thing.

when i play, before the match begins i check the rankings. most of the time its not balanced + lvl 1 players more likely feed or leave, pretty much just like what i did at that level.

Probably party with people and play pubs.

Between this Io arcana and the Kunkka shark I bet valvo is making mad $100s from the scrubs. So many values, they are like 1 more arcana from suckering me.

theres literally no reason to smurf though

go play unranked if you want to try stuff

heck you can try stuff even at your normal mmr in ranked games.. oh noes you'll lose like 4 mmr on average! tragedy

im sure the noobs love getting stomped with 5% chance to win sometimes (or 95%) instead of 50 tho!

because you have the ability to screw around, try different heroes, have fun. How are those not good things?
And I know the counter-argument is: play unranked for that. But I don't think that's intellectually honest, we all know unranked is not the same game

you "can't" because people really care about their MMR, which is fine from a game design point of view, it's good to have that number you want to work on improving, it brings people back and makes games more competitive

still doesnt say why not play unranked instead of ranked

basically just avoiding saying you want an ego boost of playing with much worse players, the experimenting thing seems like a poor excuse

The only reason you gave so far is that you can try something new. But i can try new stuff on my first, main, only account. In other game modes than ranked if I care about my MMR.

What people do in other MMO's (like WoW?) is hardly relevant
