That has VODs. You can try that. I am not sure why you did not hear any commentary unless they were not casting at the time.

MYM vs Scythe is also up there which I have not seen on the dota2 youtube channel. Although maybe I just missed it since it is pretty damn cluttered.

With regards to my dislike with some of the animation, I simply liked the way certain things looked like in the original dota. I am not feeling the new SF. I thought the original SF was perfect but obviously they can't copy it exactly. The new model and attack animation just isn't doing it for me. I have yet to seen SF ult however.

The darkseer ion shell is out of control also. They seriously need to tone that down.

Re: DOTA 2

Yeah agree with Nevermore a bit, old Requiem looks pretty cool whereas the new one just looks like Diablo 2 Necromancer's poison nova...not too impressed by Weavers model but absolutely loved Razor's

Re: DOTA 2

I dislike weaver's model as well. It looks too bright to me. I have not gotten the chance to see Razor's model in game although I do like the portrait. Also I hate the fact that storm isn't a panda anymore.

Re: DOTA 2

I'm currently watching mym vs scythe on http://********/neodota/dota-2-the-in...the-sg-5479340 . It's neat. The live streamers decided to put the Virtual live scoreboard into the game itself so you can see the levels of each heroes, CS, gold, etc instead of wondering.

Razor in game is awesome. He's like an Electric S&M mistress now.

Re: DOTA 2

Razor's animations are great. His static link while attacking looks sick. Rhasta looks very good as well. I really like the graphics from his lightning bolt. It looks cool yet subtle enough to not distract from the game itself.

Re: DOTA 2

Virus vs. MYM from the morning is quite entertaining. Game featuring a Tinker, multiple heroes with TP/BoTs, and thus a lot of ganking/kills for the mid game.

They added highlights from the tourney now instead of the usual wait screen for the live stream.

Re: DOTA 2

On Monday or Tuesday I believe I saw something saying the beta would start in 3 weeks. This is coming from valve however so that timing could be way off.

Re: DOTA 2

Valve has done a good job of PR'ing this game as a hey we had some guys who loved this game and wanted to remake it hell......that may have been it at the start, but this was indeed a business decision.

LoL and HoN both have been successful/profitable releases. There was money to be made, and I'm sure once Valve talked to Icefrog (and brought him on) they found out just how many downloads of dota are coming in from Asia.........

Make and release Dota 2........ get STEAM on millions more computers world wide? hmmmmmmm............

That said I'm super excited been playing some DOTA to get amped up, and its been fun, albeit a struggle! but good none the less.

HONestly it looks more like the league than newerth.

The water is very dota/hon-like, I guess.

Re: DOTA 2

Why do they insist on making the skill and item buttons as small as possible, theres only fkn 10 of them total can't they make them big and pretty? WC3's are like 2x the size

Re: DOTA 2

I didn't notice the size difference. I do not think it really matters if you play these types of games since you usually memorize the items and skills fast enough. In addition, in dota2 you are able to hot key everything so it is not a very big deal unless people want to look at the pretty designs.

Re: DOTA 2

I think going with a micro pay model would be brilliant, even though they have stated they aren't going too. Getting Steam on people's computers is sooo +EV for valve, and LoL has proven you can be profitable with it in this genre.
