Zenith have 5 hall of fame players, are in awesome form and have the potential to dethrone NaVi. Obv NaVi are favs here, but I really think if Zenith can get their game going, they can beat NaVi. My power Rankings for the tournament atm :
1. NaVi
2. Zenith
3. CLG
4. DK
5. Darer
6. EHOME
7. mTw
8. LGD
9. M5
10. coL
11. TongFu
12. Orange
13. EG
14. aL
15. iG
16. MUFC
Darer heavy relies on G to perform or they will drop rapidly. I'll keep this updated every week untill the tournament

Re: DOTA 2
On second thought, I kinda like EG. Prob shoukd be a lot higher. They form dipped a lot in the last few months which is prob where I'm getting the "EG is ****" thought from. But with Maelk back, they are looking like a powerhouse and could be a real contender.

What makes you think Zenith is so good RT? I'll admit I haven't watched much Asian Dota, any games you recommend?

Scythe took 3rd at last years international which is 4 of the 5, plus one of the best players of all time additional to that. They have been training hard.

The Axe game was funny but damn aL played terrible, completely failing to adapt and the enigma just kept making eidolons when he clearly should've skilled malefice and probably just retreat into the jungle so obsidian could win mid easily.
I also watched their games against EHOME and MUFC and I gotta agree that they look very strong indeed.
Tomorrow starts Dreamhack which will be the last big LAN tourney before TI2... Most of the big EU teams will be there so it should be good, and EG finally returns back to the scene

Re: DOTA 2
1. Navi -
Still number despite losing dreamhack. They showed how they just decimated teams with superior strategy and teamplay. They will be here for a long time.
2. Zenith -
Losing to Orange in a very odd game is the only downfall the past week and a bit. Still looking strong and could very well fine themselves in a final in Seattle.
3. mTw +4
Obv winning dreamhack is going to make them rise in the rankings. However, its the way they won. Beating EG in the group stage, Dismantling Quantic very easily, beating mouz again and beating NaVi. They lost game 2 because they tried strat that nobody has ever seen before AFTER been given 2 of the top 5 heroes in the pool right now in Furion and Chen. How they screwed that up, I have no idea. Coming back from 0-1 against NaVi in the final is just something you have never seen before. They have played amazingly well in the past month. One of their strong points is there draft. Rarely being outpicked which is what I'm mostly impressed about their player (massive credit to synd). However they may slide a bit because this seems to be their peak.
4. EG +7
They're back. Been loving there play the last week and a bit. With Maelk back, EG look like another team. Massive gank and push strats that come out from them which include their carry joining in on the fun. I expect a solid showing should they keep this up.
5. TongFu +6
Very underestimated last time around. Show massive talent in all areas and I think are the only team in China that can do everything in dota. They can change strategies every game, which is what other Chinese teams have trouble with.
6. CLG -3
Poor performance at dreamhack but should solid up. They've shown they are one of the best teams around by being the only team at the top of Gosugamers ranking other than NaVi.
7. Darer -2
They rely on G too much. Artstyle has completely lost his touch as one of the best captains in the world. He needs to play aggressive type of heroes. Fusing with 3 DTS players ( 2 carrys and semi carry players might I add) has led the team to a shake up. However, having G on your team, you are always in with a shot.
8. M5 +1
Not being at dreamhack prob helped them a bit. Other top teams showed they don't have what it takes, while others launched. The players M5 have are massive. Legendary names Vigoss, Admiration and PGG alone can carry this team to beat anyone. I put them higher this time around because of some chinese teams showing some inconsistency and weakness.
9. DK -5
Down this time because of only having 1 style of play. Babysit Burning with X and push and gank with the other 3 till Burning can survive by himself. He gets huge and then takes over. It's been played over and over. It worked for the first few months, but now teams are aware of that style and countering heavily. But sitting Burning is always a good idea ( I rate him the best farmer in the world of dota atm)
10. aL +4
Bouncing off a massive losing streak, they went 3-0 in their group and beat CLG 3-0 in a few non-official scrims. I feel they may have found their way back. They started using bleek and other on new heroes for new strats. They obv didn't work. Looks like things may be back to normal. They still miss r1sk imo though. ( Who I thought was one of the best side lane solo's in dota at the time)
11. Orange +1
Winning a big game vs Zenith was amazing. But still showed inconsistency and many mistakes. They are still in PD2 and GDM. So they go up here.
12. LGD -4
I didn't want to put LGD down that much because I still think they are up there with the best. However, again, showing the usual chinese way of not moving from the standard playstyle and it's costing them. That and the fact they are still mostly playing dota 1.
13. coL -3
Losing out in the dreamhack quallies and going 4-5 in the last 9 games isn't a great start for the preparations to TI2. Still, they have some great players and I'm sure they can try and make a stand soon.
14. EHOME -8
The big droppers. Losing to iG, Zenith, LGD, DK and Orange isn't what they wanted. They def need to rethink a few things. X!!! needs to step up his game. Been feeding way too many. He has been playing heroes he doesn't to want though.
15. iG -
Making a huge run in GDM, however, I still don't rate them higher than any other Chinese team.
16. MUFC -
Same thing goes. Waste of an Invite. Mouz def deserves it over these guys.

Re: DOTA 2
LGD are looking pretty damn strong after GDM, never really thought they had it in them to take games from Zenith, who other chinese teams seem to struggle with

LGD were vcery very lucky. Zenith beat them 3 times in a row. They then played horribly in one of the games and were very lucky to win. The other was when Zenith made too many mistakes. I still think LGD is maybe the best Chinese team, but they focus on dota 1 too much for anyone to really say. Tongfu atm I think is stronger because they are playing a lot more games and dominating the asian scene atm.

Re: DOTA 2
Didn't see the first few games, but saw the BO3 which LGD took down
Was also pretty surprised at iG's progress in GDM, when playing Zenith's 60 ping vs. ~300 or so they got stomped, but as soon as they had more or less equal pings it was vice versa. I think iG/Tongfu are probably gonna be the strongest teams at the International, DK are pretty meh atm and it feels like EHOME has already peaked.
From the games I've seen Chinese teams really struggle vs. Pudge which Na'Vi will most definitely whip out at the International
