Re: DOTA 2

There has been 4 other games played, and 3 of them lasted about 30minutes and one for an hour. By looking game stats, the games that lasted half an our looked like overruns for me though...

Re: DOTA 2

Really bad game to start out with. The game itself ended up being longer than 99% of pro games. Combined with the lag it simply dragged it out way too long. It wasn't that hard to follow but it will definitely take some time getting used to the new animations. Also for people complaining about the lag I assume the ridiculous amount of people trying to watch the stream did not help. Dota websites such as gosugamers and dotacash crashed as well. Clearly there were a lot of people attempting to watch it.

If you click on the "view" under match page you will see a button called "Open the match scoreboard" I believe that is where he is getting that information. I do not believe there is actually a replay to view.

Re: DOTA 2

The game actually looks really good imo. Much better than the first match. But this lag is getting absolutely atrocious. It is completely ruining the game.

Re: DOTA 2

Graphics are good, I'm not that familiar with the original dota, but having trouble seeing major differences from LoL.

Original dota is based off of Aeon of Strife I believe from a custom map in starcraft. Then an Aeon of Strife was created and WC3 which was later adapted into Dota. LoL and HoN are both based off of Dota. If you are looking for major differences I don't think you will find much. My friend who played both games said that one of the major differences is that you must kill neutral creeps to gain auras instead of the runes randomly spawning every 2 minutes in one of the two rune spots in the river. Since LoL doesn't have runes I think that one of the most important utility items of Dota is excluded although I could be wrong.

Re: DOTA 2

Wonder if they are going to charge up front for this or go for a micro payment model.

Haven't played in forever, thought Ancient Apparition was Pharoah/Clockwork had to look it up. Definitely going to be watching the next couple days buy hope I don't get back into this.

Thought Windrunner was Drow too...
