Aghs isn't a core item for tide but there are some scenarios where it's the absolute best item you could buy. Unbelievable high ground defense with that gush, speeds up your farming a lot. Some mana problems before you finish refresher though.

Being able to spam a spell while staying just inside the blink ravage range lets you contribute in a way that most other initiators can't.

Blink is always going to be core, some games you even need a forcestaff too. So buying aghs is often not going to be viable because there's no room for it in your item build. Shiva's guard is also better for sieging high ground.

Does anyone know if aghs gush gives vision along its entire length?

With longer duration on max reactive armor (16 -> 20 seconds), I am constantly attacking creeps with the hero, or jungling before a team fight to get all my stacks up. It's been working pretty well, but some games yeah I think the plate mail armor is necessary, like vs Slardar ofc.

Bloodstone with enough charges, lens, and blink dagger makes it so you can farm insanely fast.

imo:

Europe: liquid+vega... or Empire... So hard!

Americas: Complexity and Archon (open qualifier teams have a real shot here)

China: LGD & Cdec.Youth (maybe newbee young, IG kinda sucks but might get their **** together)

SEA: Mineski +Fnatic (or an open qualifier team could surprise here)
