you do realize that secret won like 95% of their games leading up to TI?

There wasnt any team in the same league, EG was the closest.

Near 50% was very warranted.

There was no such parity before this TI if you've watched any of the big tournaments this year you would know this. Teams that werent top 5 had no shot.

that courier snipe early made such a big difference

also a good job by CDEC recognizing that they should switch lanes and just stick bounty in offlane instead of roaming from level 1

eg might get lucky and win this TI because of the no-winners bracket advantage.

They have to win one more bo3 and theyre back against cdec.

Hopefully theyll draft better if they get back there... o_O

how can you say this after watching dota for years, and specially after watching this tournament.
I realize you're exaggerating for the sake of making a point, but secret weren't winning 95% of their games, not online and not on lan. EG was close (and better at DAC), VG was arguably better before they went off the rails, C9 was very good at times, etc.

They were not this unstoppable force that you're making them seem like, they were "just" the best team in the world for a few months

actually listened to panel before this series, and they said CDEC didn't even play leshrac

yet ppd still banned it when CDEC had first pick in the second game

Anyone that watches competitive DOTA regularly would have to say that coming into TI5, they were the most dominant team ever. They were winning everything in pretty convincing fashion. If you don't understand how books, lines and public perception works, then I think you're on the wrong forum.

CDEC being top 2 is mind boggling, and I don't even know what I believe anymore in regards to DOTA.
