The new mym formly scythe originally retired after the International in order to play LoL professionally but was brought in by mym. I really think thats the reason they are not as good anymore. I think some of them are split up between focusing too much time on LoL and dota. Perhaps when dota2 officially is released they will play better but at the moment i do not know.

Yamateh was supposed to play with mym for all of the big tournaments. Technically he may be considered still part of the team but I do not recall him ever seeing him play with the mym tag. I know he was somewhat recently playing for some of the Malaysian teams such as MSPR.

On a side note, the chinese scene is getting crazy with iG supposedly becoming 1 team of chuan, 430, yyf, zhou, and faith.

The owner of iG also tried to bribe burning and longdd to join them for 1million rmb but burning and longdd declined. The owner now has his eyes set on the second place finishing team Panda. Who knows if they will be bribed or not.

Zsmj supposedly retired or he is forming a team with Gx, Dai, and 357.

Ehome seems to have disbanded.

HUGE chinese shuffle going on at the moment.

Dang wasn't EHOME super legend and the best for a long time? That's sad. Is that new iG team ridic good now?

iG basically cut there roster of 2 teams of 5 to 1 team of 5. It is basically the "best" 5 of the 10 although you can argue. Each one of those players are extremely good and I think they will have good chemistry since they have been practicing together for the past few months in scrim matches as iG together. Usually when new teams form chemistry is the problem but I am not sure whether this team will have that problem or not. I think part of the problem is that they have 2 carries now in zhou and yyf and 2 great solo mids / long lane solo in ferrari and chuan. I believe either chuan or ferrari is going to need to change their role to some sort of ganking support which is not their specialty although I am sure they can do it given their skill level.

Ehome is definitely legendary with past players such as 2009, longdd, sansheng, snoy, burning, kingj, 820, fcb, X, Lanm, 357. It is not confirmed if the team has disbanded but they havn't had much success lately and many of the players are not happy I believe.

Zsmj also confirmed to leave lgd which is sad.

The EHOME game last night was epic. They still lost but was awesome. Apparently at the WCG, they had a physical confrontation. Yameteh was meant to be playing, but meh.

How is it bribing anyone?

If sports teams pay 50 million for a player that is called buying, not bribing?

Also; 1m rmb is a ton of money. They would be dumb to turn such an offer down or am I crazy?

Those still waiting on keys: the online player count has more than tripled in the past week.

They really seem to be cranking out the keys.

Maybe I have personal issues with the ruining of the two teams LGD and CCM who were a couple of my favorites but the reason I consider it bribing versus buying is because of the situation in the chinese dota scene. It is not like they are purchasing an entire team they are just selecting certain players.

For example in the NBA as an owner you can't just go up to LBJ and say hey I offer you 100 million to play for my team. He would probably snap call that offer. In these esports at least for the dota chinese scene it seems like complete mayhem where money rules everything. Both CCM and LGD were considered 2 of the best teams in the world before the iG occurence. Now LGD has to deal with the retirement of ZSMJ because of disappointing results. CCM was not winning like they used to and forced to merge the two iG teams.

DK is by far the best team in Dota 1 and it is not even close. If they were to translate their level of play into another dota2 tourney with a prize pool of the international they would be receiving a lot more money this way. You would also factor in all of the dota2 tournies that are to come which should hold larger prize pools compared to regular dota. Now Dota2 and Dota1 are not entirely the same so time will tell whether or not DK will retain their skill level.

On a side note LGD picked up Sylar and FCB is playing for WE as a stand in for the Gleague.

Yea I've heard that at least 6 beta waves have been released...still no invite unfortunately.

In soccer you can pretty much buy anyone. See Manchester City currently, and Chelsea before that. Now some new russian team comes and offers ridiculous amounts on some great players trying to buy a team.

So yeah it isn't uncommon in sports at all. Good that the NBA has rules against this.

Ic. I do not watch soccer so I was unaware of that. All of the main sports in the USA prevent things like that for the most part to various degrees.

If you follow dota news sylar was added to LGD. It was the first time I ever heard of a transfer fee in the pro dota scene. Basically LGD paid over $6k to WE in exchange for sylar. In addition if LGD wins a tournament they pay additional money. I bring this up because in the past with during all the team reshuffles, transfer fees were either nonexistent or not made public.

apologies for the title... this is considered the best guide for newbies.

also, this is another great link to read: guide to animations in dota <--- this is a huge thing that really separates a noob from a decent player. i've seen so many noobs not knowing about animations and the necessity to cancel... it makes a big difference.

Anybody here good at dota and want to play with a premade group of 3? Two of us have played competitively in the past, so we can guarantee at least decent games.
