I'm sure Valve is watching that number closely to make sure it doesn't trend down.

Not sure if you guys watch a lot of competitive DOTA but the Navi vs Mith Trust game from last night was pretty insane.

Replay/VODs not out yet though.

I'm glad WDC is happening but I wish more teams that are not from china actually made it. It would be nice to see how teams like mym, mineski, or monkey would have performed. I am assuming DK takes this tourney quite easily but if some how they mess up I am going with ig.Y . I am curious to see how navi performs with G and what role he will play. Also wondering how EG will do although I have pretty low expectations for them because of numerous reasons.

I also wish more teams not from China made it but its a far away tournament for not a huge amount of money, so I can see why some of the less rich teams decided not to participate.

I just wish the stream quality was better.

Well the money thing is not entirely true from what I've read. Like the international I heard that passports were an issue again for a few teams. Also not every team was able to qualify. You also have teams like M5 who just disbanded and possibly Mym as well.

Monetary value is going to be different in everyone's mind but 50k USD for a dota tournament is quite high I believe. I do not remember the past prize pools but I believe this is still one of the highest. I can see your point though because of the international being 1.6million. I think some teams may just want to prepare themselves for dota2 since the money is likely to be there.

its 50k combined though, not 50k for first. I think its 20k or 25k for first. so unless if you are top 3, you aren't even covering travel expenses.

It's disappointing the second batch of keys hasn't come out yet. Valve did mention they'd be handing out keys every other day. I guess in Valve time, that might be a month.

The problem is that I have never played DOTA so all of my answers were 0. And then they ask me my top 5 played in DOTA? I couldn't skip it so I just went down the list and selected the top 5 from that list.

Apparently they think everyone must have played DOTA before.

I'm thinking they only want people with Dota experience to beta test Dota 2. Guess it makes it easier on them to get feedback if there are certain IMBAness.
