Yeah they are really struggling to get the formats right, maybe they see higher variance as a good thing?

B03 group stages was a good change though, far more interesting to watch

Also I'm ready for monkey king to be removed/reworked, still feels completely broken

lmfao lmfao the Lil sports training montage was amazing. might very well be the best part of this whole tournament

rip DC dream. Abed looked absolutely superstar in some games and in other games he got shut down... i feel like DC had some really bad drafts, they need to structure their whole game around Abed

game 3 i don't think i've seen a mid matchup with a bigger cs disparity, although Abed caught back up surprisingly fast. in fact, DC could have won that game if Bulba died about 2 seconds later (first blood). Abed was gonna get it iirc

i got a feeling VP might crush this tourney from start to finish and finally get a title

i couldnt find a line for them to win it once group stage was over, meh, I wonder what it was before groups if anyone saw?

other than that I feel DC played really well and its actually insane to think that the guys from onyx probly shouldve made top 8 in this tourney. Kinda choked a bit but good performance from them in group+playoffs overall

wait until just before the event starts and buy from somebody who just wants to offload their extra ticket. course this is a bit iffy if you are gonna be booking accomodations and such... but there's pretty much always gonna be people with extra tickets right before it starts

Actually it looks like there are some on ticketmaster now, for $100 before fees. That's the standard price I think right?

Yeah I found /r/ti6tickets and I noticed that the midweek tickets were selling for like 50% of face value just before the event. So I'll try that route for ti7 on /r/ti7tickets. Good tip.

Finals tickets probably resale for retail or higher since its easier for ppl to go being on Friday/Saturday

I don't think I'm going to watch next majors if they do single-elim again - just seems so unfair to the players, and makes group stage not matter.

Rooting for faceless and think eg should be overall favored to win. Sumail/universe/zai are just too strong, hard to beat without an outdraft.

I like single elim but I think they need to make the seeding better. Seed teams 1 to 16 and match based on seed (high vs low, 2nd high vs 2nd low, etc) after each round or let the top seeds pick their opponent after each round. That would be most fair for single elim I think, and would make the group stage matter more.

For TI it should be double elimination.
