oh man!

im Lagoo on Cairne. level 26 druid right now. when i was like level 22 i tilted and bought gold because i couldnt afford my skills, much to goggles' cackling delight. so im plenty robusto right now if anyone needs some gold. i still tend to be nitty with it though, and currently have more gold now than right after i bought the gold, so i havent really been going on spending sprees. just nice to know ill always have my skills sorted.

what level are you imsa? are you alliance? if so come to ashenvale -- goggles will never level with me because he's a hunter and doesn't need me because theyre so ill.

not gonna be playing this weekend because im busy, but next week i should be on.

If I could become addicted to poker as much as I am WoW the money I could make. Pretty sure WoW has cost me more money than any activity ever since it's killed my poker playing time (4000 hands this month lol).

I didn't go back and read the whole thread, but I don't remember anyone talking about add-ons they use. Here's a few I've found to be helpful:

CTMod: I got the advanced pack and probably don't use most of the features. Best things it does is give you map coordinates so you can get to quests easier. It'll also tell you what level the quests in your log are. Like I said, does a BUNCH of other stuff as well.

QuestHelper: looks at all the quests you have in your log, then determines the best order you should follow to complete them and gives you directions on your map on where to go. Very helpful for levelling!

Auctioneer: download the preview version from this link. Another set of tools which helps you use the auction house more efficiently. You can use it to scan the AH to see what things sell for. Once you build up enough information it'll suggest appropriate prices for you to sell things. You can also use it to scan for bargains which you can turn around and re-sell, but I'd wait until you have a better feel for what things will actually sell for (Auctioneer ain't perfect!) before you start doing this.

And if you don't know about Thottbot and Allakhazam, well, check them out right away.

No, it used to dc a lot more, like 6-10 times/hour. Ime, crack dcs more than scape: I can play on scape all day and never get 1 dc/server reset (which most dcs are), whereas I'll average about 1-2 resets per hour on crack.

If this is the tourney I read about, the one where you get (up to 3) instant levels 70s already geared, it sounds really fun.

Oh look, it is!

Should we make a few 2+2 teams? I'm experienced with rogues/warlocks/priests/shadowpriests/resto and feral druids/and to a lesser extent paladins, holy or ret. Though, I pretty much suck at pvp, since I don't do it often. I need to pvp more... *giggle*

for those of you who are playing for the first time (ie Goggles) take your time and see everything. for those who are just trying to ding 70 asap check this site out: http://www.wow-pro.com/leveling_guid...leveling_guide

starts at lvl 30 but is very very quick. for example the 30-40 guide has an expected completion time of about 25 hours.

I disagree.

Use a leveling guide the first time, but just try to look around and see your surroundings. As fun as the first time is, I wouldn't want it to take an extra 50-100 hours...

I hit level 70 earlier tonight. I had 114k XP to go and only had about an hour to do it because I had to get ready for work. A guy from my guild helped me out and I made it with a few minutes to spare. Didn't really get to enjoy it though because my server was down for most of the day when I could have played. I guess it'll have to wait until tomorrow night when I can play again.

I've found that this takes too much time. While most of the alliance areas where you got wailed on while questing had lots of low levels, horde don't really have to go to pvp zones until their 28-30s (~20 for alliance). This usually means it can take some work or patience to find people to gank relentlessly if you're alliance. SS/TM is one option, but so many steer clear of that area since it's known for gankage, while STV is just too damn big to make it easy to find people, unless you know the horde quests like the back of your hand.

STV would be a great place. I got killed there so many times. I'll figure out something. Maybe just go for a map cruise and kill the horde that I come across. It probably isn't worth my time, but I may do it if I get bored. I have an epic ground mount so I can get around quick.

it's all about going to STV to gank. that place caused me so many headaches.

I dont think I could play the game on a pvp server, questing is annoying enough w/o getting randomly ganked every 15 minutes.

not being on a pvp server is a pretty big mistake for the most part...for whatever reason blizzard doesnt allow players to transfer from pve -> pvp, so youre server options are very limited should you ever want to transfer. plus, when youre lvl 70, having the option to fly around owning people is nice
