For someone that hasn't tried the division yet, the end game looks piss-poor compared to other rpg's: the pve is just repeating the same missions over and over and there's no organized pvp. Why am I wrong?

My brother is trying to convince me to buy this because he needs more warm bodies in his squad.

I'm with Fallen Hero in that this looks like a game where the "game" stops once you reach whatever the max level is and then you just... what, exactly?

From these descriptions, it sounds a lot like Hellgate: London, which did not end well.

My level 30 character, haven't been to the Darkzone yet:

I'm of a similar mindset on whether or not to buy this. I wouldn't even really consider getting it if not for the fact that everyone I game with is playing it.

But am I correct in assuming that it's basically a game that's gonna be super addictive for a month or so and then everyone will put it away? If so, I think I'll just pass.

At first I was also thinking, that while at the moment it's pretty cool because really many people online, co-op is quite fun etc. But will it die out soon?

Answer for this question should be that:

https://division.zone/2016/03/03/the...lease-roadmap/

So they gonna fill addons throughout the year, which should keep it interesting. There can definately be some downtimes in traffic, but I think/hope new updates are going to get it up again.

I'm at lvl 13 in both level and dz rank. DZ went pretty smoothly in my first foray, nobody going rogue except a level 5 dude who started attacking me while i was looking at my inventory and couldn't kill me before i figured out what was going on and i dropped him quick.

I suppose I should figure out what the endgame is to this, but i'm still having fun just shooting at whatever I come across.

So, if I hate PVP, is this game worth getting?
I'm like a huge PVE pussy.

Yes. The dark zone is the only pvp, but you really don't have to fight other players there. In about 15 hours in the DZ, I've only been killed once by some kid (I proceeded to hunt him and his buddy down for almost an hour, killing both twice).

Was at level 11 and decided to try Dark Zone for first time. I found it very tough to get extracted. Couldn't finish, just kept dying with about 6 enemies coming after me as the clock winded down. Frustrating but fun.

Yep, virtually no incentive to go rogue. They need to balance the rewards and losses.

I accidentally went rogue, saw someone running, didn't think it was someone else, they were 4 levels above me. It wasn't a good mistake

I'm only level 15 so can't speak to the end game content. But I've put about 20 hours into this game fwiw, more than I put into The Witcher. I've been taking my time and exploring.

Sure, you can blow through the game and reach max level really fast. I feel like I've already gotten my money's worth. And they have lots of expansion stuff planned throughout the year.

But honestly there's a ton of stuff to do in this game. And once you do reach max level there's lots to do in the dark zone as well. But I'm not gonna make any money by selling anyone on this game. Give it a try and if you hate it return it.

I see there's a few more PS4 players itt, I'll add you guys, or add me: twiniskilling

Well, I found it online for $42, so I bought it. Made my agent this morning but didn't put any time into it.

The aiming felt really bad, but I have only done the initial target practice on the way to the first safe house. I'll give it an hour or two tonight. I've never played a third person shooter though, so maybe I'm just not used to it.

I'm a PvP junkie. The "Rogue" system sounds like Ultima Online "Murderer" status circa 1998ish, and UO is easily my pick for greatest game of all time. The difference here is it sounds like the kids who are 40 hours ahead of me on grinding gear are going to obliterate me without any effort. The reason Ultima Online was so fantastic is because everyone was on mostly equal ground. Gear differences were marginal, and because you lost your items upon death, it could get extremely expensive to maintain that small edge as a Murderer.

If the PC players are lumped on the same servers as the console people, I'll automatically have the Mouse/Keyboard advantage at least. At my age, I need every edge I can get.

The dark zone matchmaking is tiered so you aren't going to see max level people until you are close to max level

Someone else who knows the brackets can chime in but the first two are lvl 1-14 and 15-19

Wouldn't recommend going in alone under 10 tbh

Afaik it isn't cross platform

I've thought the aiming/movement/etc. has felt very good.

DZ Brackets are level 1-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, and 30. If you are teamed up with someone you have to be in the same bracket to play in the same DZ. Going Rogue right now isn't worth it, assuming you want to get max rank. I went rogue at Darkzone Rank 36 and lost an entire level when I died, not just enough to actually downrank but actually the entire amount of XP needed to gain a level.

If you are on PC you can add me on uPlay: Daer. (with the period)

Anyone else playing on PC? I know Kowalski and Chill-Brahck are.

Well, got my character up to level 15. That'll have to do for now as that silly thing called work gets in the way for the rest of the month.

No cross platform, but yeah aiming kinda sucks on PS4. I've gotten used to it though.

I turned the sensitivity up just a notch on PS4 and feels better. I'm almost to Level 17.

Well, aiming does seem fine now that I play around with it a bit, but in certain areas of the map, my GTX970 freaks the **** out. Enemies become invisible and screen turns black, but mostly just flashes.

Interwebs say I'm not alone.

got it for PC today and played for about 8 hours. I am absolutely blown away by the graphics and the environmental detail! There is so much to look at!

It also helps that I enjoy the shooting and love loot driven games. Unfortunately none of my friends have the game yet so I am on my own for the time being.
