Hopefully you've done it already - if not, get it done tonight! the level 22 should be a breeze at 26, and Xur leaves in ~8 hours. 2nd time he's had that helmet, I wouldn't count on it showing up again soon (but RNG so you never know!)

Crucible is no fun at all with an Atheon's Epilogue and no sleep super slow progress, this will probably take me half a week! Gun is horribly bad. it's halfway decent in PVE, but wow so awful against real people. Doing far better on my level 16 hunter with a white hand cannon lol. Congrats on your Thorn!

Getting the void kills would be easier if my void gun wasn't only a 180...

And life is so much easier since I decided never to play the Bastion map again.

Thanks for the help. You have no idea how much I appreciate it. That was my 1st attempt and I was trying it solo. I quickly found out(so did you 2) I'm not ready for that yet.

probably my favourite strike, so certainly glad to help! don't sell yourself short, that's a risky mission with the "lightswitch" mod in effect (extreme melee damage from enemies). I needed a revive least more than once! The "3 waves" section is super hard, and we weren't in the safe spot (green tunnel). More fun to mix it up and try to get close range hand cannon headshots tho lol.

Thanks to disco and weeee for getting me through the weekly yesterday, this is what the exotic bounty gave me:

I guess I should be happy that I got the Titan raid helmet just now after beating hard mode, but I already had my maxed out exotic Helm of Saint 14 there that I like for the blindless in the bubble effect.

So now I have raid armor at the two spots I like my exotics (Helm of Saint 14, and Armamentarium for extra grenade and heavy ammo). To get to 29 with the raid helmet I'd need to max it out and max out the Armamentarium, but seems like a waste of shards to have 2 maxed helms and 2 maxed chests.

So . . . I dunno. Wish I just got boots or arms, less rare but need them more.

I've been seeing a few things about people making 2nd chars to get items for their main. I really haven't paid much attention to it since I'm already busy enough with my main but I'm thinking about starting a 2nd today and was wondering if I need to make the same char as my main or will any char work?

I'll mainly use the 2nd to get items for my main but may end up playing it eventually. I was thinking about making a Warlock but will make another Hunter if that's what's needed.

You're better off using the same class so you can hand stuff down.

I made alts of the other classes, and would recommend it - they do play quite differently. And there's trophies, if you care about that.

The "stuff you can get" for your main is all drop from the timed lockout events. Shards / Energy from the hardmode daily heroic, Strange coins from the weekly heroic, legendary / exotics / coins from the weekly Nightfall, and raid armor from the raid.

Of that, only the raid armor is a class-locked drop, pretty much. If you're wanting to hit level 30 asap, a nearly full set of raid armor must be farmed, and the quickest way to do that is 3 of the same class so once they hit 20 you can instantly take them to 29 or whatever by swapping your armor. It is slower to get the alts >20 if they aren't the same class, but not as slow as originally. You can transfer blue engrams across and they'll decode in to class-appropriate armor. Legendary engrams too, but those can be different class anyway so good chance you have one or two parts already. The worst part about different classes is that faction rep is not shared, and vendors don't sell for other classes - so you cannot just purchase them vanguard armor or suchlike with your main which would save a heap of time.

Another issue I'm running in to is the crafting mats - Sapphire wire etc. I have huge mountain of "plasteel plating" because of the endless amount of greens and blues my main titan has disassembled - my alts are starved for their respective mats and cannot even upgrade the legendarys they do have so far. This obv isn't a problem with alts of a duplicate class.
