yup if you stick with a team mate you'll do much better as it's extremely difficult to win a 2v1 in crucible. Learn the maps, what weapon is best for you(prolly auto rifle but maybe not), and when to use crouch to your advantage. But basically just be a good team mate and you'll improve faster than you think.

Why/how do some people in crucible run around with a shield?
I mean, it feels like I'm downed in 1-2 shots myself but have to unload close to a total clip to just get rid of a shield.

Unless I hit their head which is basically impossible with the way ppl are double jumping while pumping me full of iron.

Not sure if you mean the Titan's shield perk? (great big blue enegy shield in front of them while they run) they give up shoulder charge or some armor to get that, it's imo a pretty bad choice but maybe I just haven't found a way to make it work yet.

Maybe you mean the blue shield bar over the top of the normal one - that's a melee cooldown item on Defender Titans, I think warlocks can have it too. Need to get a melee kill to activate it and it doesn't offer much extra protection.

If you just mean the normal white shield bar, everyone gets that including you.

If having trouble with headshotting, get a Shingen C / E, preferably an E with stability upgrade option but any Shingen is a headshot machine. Also practice practice practice Hunters are the hardest, but each 3 class has a fairly static arc to their jump. Warlocks in particular are slow and floaty - not too bad for shooting out the sky.

"Get it" sounds like you could buy it from a vendor. From my searches so far, it seems you'll have to wait/hope for a drop?

I guess my gear is just hopelessly outclassed. Sure as hell doesn't feel like I've got a shield. :P

Often the gunsmith will sell them, the Shingen-C green version anyhow. Cydonia AR2 is another very decent autorifle for crucible but I prefer the higher RoF / less damage per bullet of the Shingen, I spray a lot lol.

But yeah drops, but they're green uncommons so not too hard to come by. A blue rare version, with good bonuses... little harder to find

Haven't been farming engrams or weapons. Might give it a whirl but don't really like the concept of it.

Ironic thing is getting better engrams/weapons for ranking higher in your pvp team but without them you're never gonna end up there.

Loot drops from PVP are not performance based - but they are "level appropriate", so if you see level 24 players getting blues, while you're at level 12 and only getting greens that is why.

I just looked now, and the gunsmith is selling a Shingen-C, with reduced recoil bonus no less! And will be for the next 1h 40m.

Oh, and I am now level 21. Last time I crucible'd I was around 14-15.

This. I suck at pvp but last night we had a full 2+2 fireteam and we were just rolling other teams. I even had >1 k/d ratio the last couple games.

That PVP was so fun last night wow... I tried it a few times and got rolled with public people... I'm not good at all either and we steamrolled about 6 games in a row including the sickest comeback in the first game. It was a ton of fun.

I have set myself up in the waiting game for the next few couple weeks.

Have 27 motes of light and 15 strange coins and almost Crucible rank 3. Going to be buying the crucible shoes on Tuesday and hoping Xur has an exotic warlock headpiece this weekend.

Other than that going to just keep farming mats at the different planets and crucibling. Then should hit 28 by next week and then its time to fire up a ps4 and join the big league.

*also known as the kruze spot. the key is to NOT kill the shrieker once you leave that room. apparently it eventually vanishes along with the other adds if you just chill out for a few seconds

got lucky and snagged it from a purple engram. prior to this, all of my other purple engrams either gave me blue gear or gave me purple gear for a class that i can't use.
