im a fan of the wholesale changes. ascension was cool in concept but without good loot drops & new content the game got stale very quick.

being forced to move on from our favorite guns and gear will hurt but is necessary for the health of the game.. hopefully this will lead them to making good guns for the taken king that are worth chasing.

it does give me little to no motivation to play until september, but that's fine i could use the break.

The game is so quiet right now. Outside of Tuesday's it's really hard to find People to do raids or even a poe.

So exotics will be ascendable but not legendaries right? Why waste time nerfing black hammer? Maybe one of the new bosses never moves? lol.

Kind of meh on the changes. I'll get taken king for sure but they only have a month until fallout 4 drops so if the loot is weak again like the last 2 expansions I'll probably drift away big time in the fall.

Playing the game increases your level - clarification - your level, the actual level number you are, is no longer tied to light. Your level will increase by playing the game, earning XP, completing bounties, ect. It's a more traditional leveling mechanic

is this real?

I wonder how screwed the solo player is going to end up. How possible is it going to be to level up without getting a team of 3 or 6 together for strikes or POE >28 or Trials?

I'm pretty happy with all I've heard so far. Seems to me like I'm getting a whole new game for the price of an expansion.
I'm probably going to delete one of my toons and roll my first Titan so I get to play the whole thing from scratch.

Alright, after a bit of a grind yesterday, I've managed to get one character up to 34 and somehow collected a Gjallahorn this morning on Crota Hard. So that's nice. I haven't kept up with the thread (though I'll catch up when I have some time later today), but did we already exhaust the Prison of Elders on hard? If not, anyone down?

Level 35 POE is a waste of time from a pure loot perspective. Rewards are basically what you get from 8 Trials win plus a chance at a choice of 3 equally useless exotics.

From an enjoyment perspective, it is the level 28 prison of elders with an extra round at the end.
