You can look at your k/d online at bungie's website. It displays your stats for every mode you've played in.
I've got a legendary void machine gun that's almost maxed out and a legendary void fusion rifle. No void sniper which sucks because I'm pretty good with a sniper.
Yea I just bought a void shotgun that was really ****ty but worked well enough and had a void rocket launcher. I used the titan class the has the bubble, which helped get a few shotgun kills per special. If you are good at sniper, just buy a void sniper and do that. It was too bad really, maybe took 15 matches or so. I actually did team deathmatch because people would get impatient and charge me when I was camping with shotty. In control most will just go to a zone which isn't great if you are using the shotty strategy.
Patience and Time is a beast. It isn't the PVE beast of Ice Breaker, which is best in game, but the recoil is basically non-existant and can tear in PVP from first impressions.
For those who have done the raid on hard mode, am I better off being lvl 30, or lvl 29 with a much better exotic perk (blinding enemies in titan bubble vs. the useless extended force barrier) and an extra ~100 in intellect/discipline instead of strength (which does nothing for me)?
Basically, going to 30 requires me to swap my exotic Helm of Saint 14 that has a great perk and is all intellect and purple arms that are intellect and disciple for a raid helmet that is intellect and strength and exotic gauntlets that are all strength and have a useless perk.
edit: if any lower level like 20-25's wanna help level my alt to 20 i'm jumping on the weekly 28 and the nightfall right after I do it. (dunno what level you gotta be for the nightfall)
I soloed the 28 heroic as a 26 warlock yesterday, 46 minutes I think. Needed to resurrect twice. If you still need it when I get on I'll run through it with you.
There are three decent hiding spots for the nexus boss, although they are all slightly risky.
- stay up top, don't jump off the cliff. Danger from an elite Minotaur spawning behind every 20-30 seconds, need to be keenly aware and deal with him asap. If solo, basically watch for him always, then take 10 seconds to hit the boss before returning to minotaur-watch.
- drop straight down, turn 180 degrees and hide behind the stone wall. You are almost completely safe while hidden in the middle here, but need to peek round the edges to shoot him, where his void bombs cause considerable danger with their large splash damage. This is great with a team, as revives are easy here.
- (hard to explain) probably the best solo spot - drop down, then climb up on pillar in front, turn ~110 degrees left and jump far/high to a hidden platform. Probably the safest, but very hard to get to in the time before being killed, especially if you need to find it. You are safe from most splash damage hiding behind a rock, and the nexus disengages often so you can peek out through gaps and put a whole sniper mag in to him.
All are very tough because void burn, which the boss itself and minotaurs deal plenty of even under normal circumstances. Imo you need a void sniper and heavy to stand much of a chance.
It's worth having P&T simply because it's an arc sniper. If you don't have one yet, you'll want one eventually. You want to have each damage type covered for each weapon type in this game. Trust me.
