Where is this Capra Demon that everyone is talking about?
Spoiler:
Use the basement key you got while going up the stairs to the Undead Church to open the locked door at the start of the bridge where the dragon is perched in Undead Burg. Enjoy poison and bleeding.

Talk about a boom and bust game:

Spoiler:
Spent two days messing around and trying to kill the Capra Demon. "Oh sure, I'll just run past him...DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!" Then I hop on today and boom, he's dead first try and before much longer, The Depths are completely opened and the Gaping Dragon (Holy **** how ****ing awesome was he) is dead. Helllllllo 25k souls. On my way out I dropped a soul sign, helped someone else kill him, and netted another 12.5k souls. Nice.

So nobody having problems with the dark knight? It's pretty much the first non-two hit kill enemy you encounter. Going up in the beginning of course because I don't have any curses so can't get past the ghosts downstairs. I've seriously been trying for about two hours but can't seem to parry him.

Who or What is the Dark Knight.

I'm assuming he's talking about the Black Knight. For the one who has its back to you at the bottom of the stairs, lure it all the way up to the open area where that locked door is. Just block him and back stab him. For the one at the top of the tower past the Hellkite dragon, keep him at the top of the tower. Do not let him push you down into the stairwell. Once again, block and back stab him.

Also, get the Drake sword: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lS0x5OpEt8M

And back stab >>>> parry

This game is ridiculous sometimes. How the **** do you save up 20k souls to open the forest door? I finally saved up 10k and then decided to explore a random area, get one hit KO'd by a black knight hiding directly around a corner when I opened a door (gee thanks), and then pushed off a cliff on the way back to recover. Fun times.

If you guys don't know the details about Snuggly the Crow I suggest you google it. It's something I would have never found out on my own.

Making progress in this game is awesome.

Was wondering if anybody is going with anything but one hander + shield. There's a lot of different options but besides situational uses is anybody really going two weapons or like fist weapons? Prob more for later playthroughs but wa curious to seeit anybody is mixing it up.

Best bet is to look it up on Wiki I'm guessing. Not like this game explains anything ever (and it's kind of awesome).

Pretty big imo. He is one of the few people in the game that sell curse purging stones, and being cursed is the worst.

Yeah I got cursed for the first time earlier today being very careless in the Depths. Went down to New Londo Ruins and got tons of goodies. If you go up the right side stairs from Firelink Shrine, the merchant at the end of that long waterway tunnel, opposite end from the rat, sells purging stones for 6000 souls.

Where are the New Londo Ruins? Have not found them yet. Went into the catacombs for the first time earlier today and got owned even at level 38 lol.

The mute chick behind Firelink Shrine, facing her go right and there are more downward stairs that lead to New Londo Ruins. It's all ghosts, so you either need to be cursed or have a bunch of transient curse.

Spoiler:
This is how you get to the Abyss, but you need a special ring to get there and fight the boss in the Abyss.

Argh I'm so bad at this game. 7 hours in, so many respawns at the same damn bonfire.

It's at the end of the storm drain/hallway on the way from Firelink to the Undead Burg. You'll need to unlock the shortcut to the Undead Burgs lower level first.

Ehh just found out all my investments in INT as a pyromancer are pretty much wasted, apparently it does almost nothing for those spells and only helps if you plan to also use sorcery.

Yeah it was pretty hilarious. I'm getting further and further into the game and I'm way underleveled due to laziness. Can't tell you how many times I half ass an attempt to get somewhere, die, and then walk off a cliff or die on the way back due to carelessness.

damn it damn it damn it. The friendly NPC at the end of the drain/walkway surprised me so I gave her a good wack. Now she just sits at the far end of the hall talking smack. How the **** am I supposed to get uncursed? I was dying plenty to begin with, and with this half health BS...wow.

Where are you?

The guy who appears in the bell tower after you beat the gargoyle sells Purging Stones. 2000 or 3000 souls a pop I think. Also the wizard NPC in New Londo Ruins can cure you.

Don't worry too much about her being hostile. I don't think I've bought anything from her so it's not like she's vital.

Getting cursed isn't a big deal until you start getting cursed again while you're already cursed.

2nd time: 25% HP
3rd time: 12.5%
4th time: 6%
