This is released in Japan today so I guess we can expext some import reviews to start trickling their way in.

In the meantime, I found this link which has over 30 mins of gameplay footage.

I've only watched a few minutes, but just hearing all those familiar noises is whetting my appetite even more. Oct 7th can't come quick enough.

I've been checking this site out over the past few days, but I don't want to watch too much because I want to avoid spoilers. It's damn hard to drag myself away though, game looks awesome.

Also been trying to read up on any new news as it comes out, and I think this review diary is well worth a read. As someone who played the majority of Demon's Souls offline, Part 3 of this diary really made me excited for the online component of Dark Souls.

Urgh i am mustering every ounce of self restraint i have to not look at any more spoilers. I've seen the majority of the above-ground areas but i think there's at least another 50% of the game under ground, if not more. Everything i have seen/heard is awesome i just want to leave plenty of it for me to discover as i play.

I'm all over this. I never opened GoW3 so I just took it back and put it on DS.

I have a question though? The collectors edition? The girl at Gamestop said it wasn't available and only the regular edition is. Is this an error on her part? Is it worth to transfer the credit one more time to Battlefield 3 and order it some where different?

This is pretty funny.

I know the feeling. I don't own a PS3 but my roommate does. I played Demon Souls a hand full of times before throwing it in. Something about the difficulty of this game intrigues me.

I really like Demon's Souls despite it being annoyingly hard. Yesterday I tried taking on Flamelurker with a melee character and just got pounded into the ground again and again when he went into overdrive.

It's one of the best games I have and I preordered Dark Souls the minute they started taking orders.

Tips for taking on flamelurker in combat

- have < 50% weight equipped (this is required throughout the whole game imo)
- keeping unlocked so you can sprint/roll in all directions, but at the same time keeping the camera under control so you know where he is
- rolling behind him when he's about to do his fireball attack
- sprinting in for a few jabs after his fireball attack, locking on to land your hits and unlocking to run away
- use the pillars to get a bit of cover when healing up

Pretty boring at first when they're grinding through known territory, but then they get into unknown stuff at around 40 minutes and it gets pretty funny with a few 'oh, ****' moments.

Anyone in NA pre-order with Amazon and get it a day early(ie today)?

Just wandering what common practice was with Amazon as I have pre-ordered with them (I'm in UK though), and my housemate's copy of Fifa 12 which he ordered with them got here a day early last week.
