About 50 hours in, this game seems pretty broken atm atleast if you are trying to play Brittany. My original duke's son had a really glorious reign and became a king a lil ways before he died at the ripe age of 70ish. had a 29 year old heir that became ill and died leaving me a 3 year old king who opened the floodgates to a rebellion by his uncle backed by a dutchess who held 2 of my counties. Everyone and their mother hates me so I have barely any levies and have to hire mercs to keep my kingdom in tact.
Right as this is happening some small French duke declares on me w/ a fabricated claim, on Rennes then the British try to take back cornwall which I took from them when they were having huge civil wars. I ended up going broke trying to fight off these guys and just when I'm about to give up , I find that I inherited 900 gold lol (wish it told me who died I think it was my grandmother but not sure). I betrothed my 13 year old king to a 13 year old princess of Scotland and realized all I had to do was keep Cornwall from falling (Brittany is now completely in enemy hands but I was just gonna wait it out till I get married and have Scotland back me- the penalty to the attackers for keeping cornwall was like 60% by this time so even though I was getting stomped the war score was still at 0 or close to it.) Scotland dishonors the alliance, I am forced to hire more mercs and finally against all odds I lived through the craziest boy-king adventure ever. I had 24 diplomacy and that's about it, atleast I had a queen with stats that compliment my lack thereof. Woot, time for a golden age, and all is looking brighter than ever for the new kingdom of Brittany.
