You jump from person to person after the death of your current guy and you can interact with EVERYONE. That's also huge: everyone in CK2 is a real person you can kill or marry or whatever. CK2 is less about wars and more about beeing a real person.
thx will check it out.

Most amount of fun since EU3. I started out as an Irish OPM and become the King of Ireland and Whales. I also took some of portugal. After my first king died both of the new king's son tried to kill him WTF. I've also been in like 5 huge war with Scotland (ruled by my cousin) for one of the Irish countries it's changed hand like 4 times. My King has like 12 kids and is a senior citizen still going strong. And best of all I'm the black Irish (Ethiopian)

Re: Crusader Kings 2

no I wouldn't I just think that anyone who plays this would throw it in the bin if they had total war. There are all sorts of mods if you want a more in depth campaign. These games are pretty much the same except they lack the awesome battles of total war. ALl I have seen on total war int hese forums is in the LC thread with shogun 2. If you enjoy this gmae you are missing out... I might be a 'fanboy' here but it is just baffling.

Re: Crusader Kings 2

I like both the total war and EU titles. Total war games have 1/100th of the depth.

Yes most likely. Paradox games are not GPU intensive.

Total War is fun, EU3 and CK2 are much more in depth. I loved Empire: TW but its system is a generalization compared to EU3, and the same applies to Medieval vs. CK2. That doesn't mean that TW aren't fun as they're great games.

Took the plunge, great success.

for anyone else considering a purchase with a crappy computer: it works almost perfectly on my non-gaming laptop.

I'm a few hours in, would def recommend to any EU fans.

I have a heavily modded shogun II and it's still nothing like this game. They are two incredibly different games, get over it. Total war is a battlefield simulator, this one is a people simulator. There are no real time battles, just like people aren't simulated in Total War. I agree Shogun II is awesome, it's just that it's a different game.
