My friend also has been getting bad fps, he thinks its down to the latest windows 10 update which would make a little sense.

Reinstall didn't do anything. I did notice that while I'm playing now the Windows Explorer process is taking up 25% CPU. I know that about a month ago this wasn't the case, I just had cs running at 90-95%.

Happened a few days ago but I'd thought I would mention it.

A legally Deaf/Blind Streamer who plays CS gets kicked out of a pug because they thought he was trolling, If you look in the reddit thread below you will see some clips. Kinda hard to watch.

This actually turned out to be good for him as a lot of people decided to show a lot of support and give him donations. I think a lot of known streamers/players donated to him. I know m0e donated like $1k to him.

The thing that I hate about this is that there was a thread on ESEA about this and a lot of people showed support for Loop, However I'd bet a lot of people in that thread are being super hypocrites. What I'm getting at is that just because this guy has disabilities we feel the urge to stand up for him, I mean yeah it's cool everyone showed support but what about just the average person would we do the same? I think not.

Sorry it kinda tilts me this kind of stuff. I hate all types of "bullying" and personally I wish I could do more to help somehow.

For him being partially blind and deaf he is pretty good at the game. I think the guys that kicked him got a 3 day ban.

It's like 50% of games I've got some guy raging at whoever is bottom fragging and asking me to kick them for no real reason.

Ever since I got my new rig (i7 6700, gtx 1070, 16gb ram, 144Hz monitor), I've played super ***** in my games. It could be windows 10. I'm unsure.

I'm still getting 300ish fps, which is the same as I was getting before the recent Windows 10 major update. Try a clean install of your video card drivers if you are still getting poor fps.

Just watched the replay of that final, The game play wasn't super good for a final but the casting was so chilled getting other players to just come onto the mics was a good idea and just kept me entertained a bunch.

Think we should see more players on the mics during games in the future.

I will try this, I need to test out the latest update I did with the drivers.

I played today this was before I updated and one game was fine, I was still getting lower fps the usual but was still ok to play. Next game play on the same map and in some spots my fps was going to to 80-90 at times. Coming from like 200+ fps all around the map 80fps feels like ass and unplayable.

same thing is happening to me. I can't figure it out. Don't notice anything out of the ordinary with system temps, or memory, etc...

just out of the blue on a map change I will start having major fps drops

I restart the game and it goes away.

I don't the fix to the problem I just did a ton of stuff, I still get some fps drops but not as bad and feels kinda smooth.

First off I lowered my res from 1080p to 1600*900 (When I was getting FPS drops it was happening on both, so this isn't the problem but helps with the getting more fps in general)

2nd if you use razer synapse close it and make sure its closed in task manager. This has been the common factor with the people I have spoke to.

3rd Launch options -novid 1 -tickrate 128 -refresh 144 -nod3d9ex +cl_forcepreload 1 -threads 4

4th Unistalled the windows update, I think it was the update on the 22nd?? Also turned off Auto windows update. So I don't have the creator update or whatever it is.

Sucks because this kind of problem could literally be anything meaning troubleshooting this can be difficult.

Ended up reinstalling windows from fresh as the above didn't end up fixing the problem.

After setting up my config etc etc then jumping into my 1st game I instantly can feel the smoothness rather than the fps spikes.

Then in the 1st game on ESEA

how is the ESEA client to have installed?

think I'm gonna play ESEA this month. I just can't believe how bad the cheating situation has gotten everywhere else.

Super easy having the ESEA client imo, the only ****ty thing is that you have to start the client before opening the game, Also lets say you just finished a match on ESEA and you want to DM or something whilst waiting for your next game, you have to close and reopen the game to do this.

Other than that its fine.

I like faceit a lot more just because it feels more team based. As said before ESEA feels more individual based.

If you did the windows creator update go to your mouse settings and untick "Enhance Pointer Precision" (I did mine the other day, but not sure when it came out).

Also turn off game DVR as I think that got activated again/

Doing this update also gave me some FPS drops not as bad as before though, Also tabbing into game seems different now, for me anyways.

Also disable game mode in windows,

Settings > Gaming > Game Mode (On the left)

This is different from the Game DVR in the Xbox app.
