I'm not fully convinced there won't be another KQLY situation at some point in the future. A few guys on LG are definitely #1 on my fishy pros situation.

Could be perfectly legit too, just doesn't always feel like it.

Brazil has a long history in counterstrike, plenty of these guys were 1.6 and source vets.

madeinbrazil was one of the best teams in the world back in 1.6 and still considered one of the best teams in CS lifetime - up there with SK.

I remember when the team that is now immortals first came over. They beat all the best NA teams in a single night.

It was widely known both teams were in the room at the time and my thought was that there might be some shenanigans with some or all of LG playing for them. Now I'm wondering if there is widespread cheating among the Brazilians.

Just played a prime game against a guy who was wallhacking while streaming on twitch and making call outs to his friends. At least I could report him on twitch too.

Yep, Prime is still currently a joke. I am going to make a video soon from last week where on a prime game, we had not one but 2 spin botters B hopping down mid Cache with Autos. Both had 1000+ hours, knives, pins etc.

prime doesn't eliminate all cheaters it just puts a bigger hurdle for them to jump over after they get banned

rank 21 and a phone number. it's way better than without it when it was simply rank 3

anyone blatantly cheating will get overwatched pretty quickly

That's normal though, these guys will eventually get banned and won't be able to recreate an account as easily as before (still very easy obvs), and won't be able to bother us in MM for a longer while.

I will just take time to weed them out.

Also find it interesting that Steam didn't put CSGO in the summer sales this year. I wonder if it's a calculated move to prevent the usual mass game buying from cheaters.

the change they made was you can't gift it

It won't let me to buy as a gift, anyone else?

CS:GO will not be giftable during the sale. Our goal with sales is to grow the community and historically, during sales, the new users that stick around are mainly the ones that purchase copies for themselves.

Wow these groups for Cologne are bad. What is wrong with using an actual seeding system?

Got 1 group with 3 top 5 teams and a really good tier two team and others with 2 **** teams and 0 top 5 teams.

Got a group that would completely make sense as the semifinals to me.

Had an obvious cheater in my team yesterday. I was soloQing, and so was everyone else on my team. After we all died and just the cheater stayed alive in the GR, we saw him play, instantly called cheat, instantly all voted to kick him.

It was beautiful.

Yes and no. Would u say the same thing if G2 was still as "bad" as they were a few weeks/months ago and Faze didn't step it up a bit aswell?

The system is straight up bad and led to a horrible result. Basing seeding on a single result is a terrible idea. The fact that result is months old makes it worse.

You could have a team come out right after the previous major, smash everyone, and they can't be seeded in the first or second pool. They could literally win every tournament and it wouldn't matter. They would still be a pool 3 team.

At no point in time was CLG, Astralis, gambit, and dignitas similar in strength to SK(LG), Fnatic, G2, and Faze.

Also, keep in mind a large part of G2/Faze's upswings were due to roster changes. Any reasonable system would heavily favor results of the actual roster they are playing with.

Even if seedings were locked a month out you've got a group with 3 teams arguably weaker than the worst team in another group.

Got nothing to add.

Besides that I think Astralis still is a top tier team and Dignitas somehow went like 3 steps back after their decent results. Hard to say what happens after the swap, although I think Astralis can win big tournies if Karrigan comes back to life and they overcome their mental blockades.

Sk, nip,g2 ,navi, fnatic are all better for sure.

I don't even know that they are 6th, especially with glaive.

The problem actually compounds if they keeping using this dumb system. Weak teams from group A Will get high seeds at the next major while the teams eliminated from the group of death have to requalify for another ****ty seed.
