Anyone know how to use xbox elite controller on PC for other things besides gaming ..... anyway to set hot keys for it?

Like is there anyway I could open a microsoft word document and hit A on my controller and it will type some specific keyboard character.

i.e. hit A button on controller and it will type = > C

hit x button and it will type = > J

Ther are hotkeys I have set up for a different program and if I can figure out above, it would help a lot. A bit of initial scuttlebutting and downloading software like reWASD (still not sure what this program is about) and I am not finding what I want to do. This should be possible right?

Yes, you can do that kinda with ds4 program. It allows you to map any button on ps4/xbox one (etc) controller to a keyboard button. I used it to remap keyboard to ps4 for playing n64 emulators and Sekiro/Dark Souls since ps4 controller wasn't initially supported.

I have a dumb but related question:

The way I hold my controller causes my thumb to aim my left analog stick slightly right of center instead of the intended straight up/down (ie. straight up is not 12:00 but more like 12:30). It's like everything angle-wise is shifted about ten degrees clockwise.

Can you map 1-360 degrees on the analog stick?
