There are a few things you can do.

The most obvious is to try your TV's game setting, if it has one, and see if it helps. Makes the graphics look like ****, but it's a decent tradeoff if your TV is low on Hz.

A good way to find out if your TV is lagging is to rent Rock Band 2 (not sure what other versions work). In the settings, they have a way for you to configure the controls so that what you see matches what the game thinks you see. It will tell you how much your picture is lagging. If it's a decent amount, I wouldn't recommend using that TV with any COD multiplayer.

If you have a decent HD computer monitor (which many in these forums should), play on that instead. They typically have far less lag, and the smaller screen keeps everything in front of you. I agree with Doodoo; it's the only way to play.

Never heard of input lag before.

Is there anything that can be done to fix it? Spent a fortune on this TV and would really like to be able to use it.

I didnt notice any delay on MW3, although I am terrible at it.
Research tvs proir to buying one if your going to do alot of gaming on it.. I have a game mode for my plasma but I don't use it, but I do have pixel orbiting off.. I have no lag but the model I bought from Panasonic had excellent reviews for gaming..

My Tv is almost 2 years old so its almost time to get rid of it and get the new VT35..

Re: COD: Modern Warfare 3

I do have 2 22" LED monitors also but no point gaming on those when the 51" plasma has no problems. I also have a 42" HD TV above my grind station so its not like Im out of options.

Just that the 46" is the TV in our living room and was the most expensive by far, so it would be nice to be able to game on it. While playing FIFA the ball is often blurred like a comet when it moves at speed(on goal kicks or shots at goal)

My own fault for not doing my research.

Ive always heard that small monitors like those are just so much better to game on than big screens for a twitch shooter, I'd agree too. After I switched back to a smaller screen it was so much easier to play.

+1 played on a 42 and a 55 for a while. Went out and bought a cheap $250 32inch from walmart and it is way easier to play on. I tried playing on my friends 70inch sharp and it feels like you are moving the crosshairs a mile everytime you aim, however, games like Madden play much easier IMO.

What's the best headset? I'm sick of using a terrible mic. Astro A40?

Thanks.

I love my Tritton AX Pros. They are extremely comfortable and I am very happy with the sound quality. The only caveat for buying Tritton AFAIK is that their mics have a reputation for having a short life span. Mine has worked perfectly for 2+ years, but if you buy one understand that there is a possibility that you will have to replace it in a year. If that does not bother you, then the AX Pros are excellent.

I'm considering buying a pair of Sennheiser PC350s. While I've never owned a pair, they have had some stellar reviews. Not sure about how you connect them (a PC headset) to the Xbox / PS3, but I'm almost sure it is possible.

Terminal is back and its coming up way to much IMO.

Also, the map isn't quite the same.

Oh, it looks the same and I'm betting a vast majority of people won't notice it...but the map isn't the same. They didn't just take the map from MW2 and "port" it. They actually rebuilt it from scratch. The map is a bit bigger overall. Things are spaced out a bit more.

I havn't tried to see if they prevented you from getting up on top of the plane - but I wouldn't be surprised if they did the ****ers. Really ticks me off that they've blocked so many cool areas that you think you should be able to jump up to - in all of the maps that is.

If you have to move your head *at all* to get centrally focused vision, the screen is too big.

And when I say centrally focused I mean the angle at which the direct line of sight has the least difference in length between the flat surface and your eye.

Think of it like a triangle. The more perfect the triangle (isoceles), the most clear everything will be. The greater the difference in length between the two sides the less clear it will be.

Its the same phenomenom when sitting near the front of a theatre in an IMAX is what the unfortunate late suckers get to experience.

Obtuse viewing angles between the eyes == bad gaming and movie experience

Re: COD: Modern Warfare 3

Ive given up on MW3 on console, but considering getting an FPS on PC.

Is MW3 the best FPS on PC? Is it better than BF3?
