Been here hundreds of times.
Sickness. I lived there when I was a kid (even had a birthday party at BurgerVille, lol). Well played, Infinity Ward.

Re: COD: Modern Warfare 3

My wish list using the last two games as reference points:

Keep from Black Ops
-- Theater Mode
-- Flak Jacket (or something similar that's as effective)
-- Depth of customization
-- Overall balance
-- Training bots
-- Combat record

Keep from MW2
-- Weapon diversification (real reasons to use different weapons)
-- Legitimate sacrifice needed to avoid enemy UAV (Cold Blooded vs. Ghost)
-- Look and simplicity of maps (no more muddy colors and tacky gimmicks!)
-- Leveling system
-- Killstreaks (sans nuke)
-- Platform equality

What I want that won't happen
-- Elmination of snipers altogether (not because of quickscopers)
-- Negligible gameplay differences based on connection quality
-- Real discentives to rage quitting that don't negatively affect teammates/opponents

Re: COD: Modern Warfare 3

I think they should get rid of prestiging altogether for a leveling system like BC2 where it takes 12-14 days of play time to reach level 50.

Re: COD: Modern Warfare 3

Don't you think the fact there's no overwhelming benefit to prestiging takes care of that?

Re: COD: Modern Warfare 3

Its an interesting idea but I dont thing recreational players would like that at all. I think they need more incentives for prestiging. As is the only reason I prestige is for more custom class slots and if it wasnt for that I wouldnt prestige at all since its such a hassle especially for that **** box BO was.

Re: COD: Modern Warfare 3

Moving past the obligitory "I'm Doodoo, and I hate BO if you didn't already know" ending, I think there should be a balance when it comes to prestiging.

By that, I mean there should be as much incentive as possible for those who want to prestige without making those who don't like prestiging feel like they have to. MW2 did this fairly well, imo.

well, i agree with on most points but why do you think that MW2's maps were more simplistic (this might not be the correct adjective and where my confusion stems from, i.e. what you mean with simplicity) than Black Ops'? I think it's the opposite and the only MW2 map that i think comes close to any BO map in terms of simplicity is Rundown, with simplicity for me meaning s. of the basic layout which would be 3 routes from one half of the map to the other as it is on Rundown and most (all?) BO maps, except that Rundown has completely nonlinear (or whatever you want to call it) halves.

I'm just annoyed that it needlessly forces me to choose between being practical or a completionist
