COD 4.....REMASTERED - Page 2 - Video Games

I remember around the release of MW3 (I think?) there was some promotion where for each prestige you achieved in previous COD games, you'd get something in MW3, so I went back and played WaW (which I owned but never played much online) figuring I could grind a couple out, it must be fun, this game was based on the CoD4 engine right?

WRONG. Multiplayer in that game was hot garbage. Maps were awful, guns sucked. Despite being motivated even beyond "hey video games are fun" I could not finish a prestige level.

I haven't played any of the other games online a lot besides 4/MW2/MW3 so I dunno how they should fit in your list but I'm fairly sure WaW should go way, way down.

hmmm interesting, you're probably right. i think nostalgia prolly playing a bigger part now that i actually think about it

regardless cod4/mw2 are by far my favs

just every game below AW i really dont care for that much anyway so i guess i should reorder to like

Confirmed $80 to get cod 4 remastered which ****ing blows but $80 for infinite hours of cod 4 is alright I guess.

It's 80$ for game you have pay extra for remastered in Canada it's 79.99 for new cod 129$ for new cod + remastered and 149 for new cod, remastered, and some bs package thing for downloads..

I think there's some chance they'll eventually split it off and sell just the remaster for 10 or 15 bucks online, I'ma wait and see if that happens

I'm pretty sure my friend is going to let me pay the difference between standard/deluxe edition for the CoD4 code only since he doesn't care about it and just wants to play zombies. Cmooooon! I haven't played any FPS since MW3 so this has me hyped.

If it is the physical version you need the IW disc in to play remastered COD4.

Activision probably realizes that us olds (people who played COD4/MW2) dgaf about Infinite Warfare so they figure they can goose their sales by marketing to both newer and older players. I never actually played COD4 and would love to play the remaster but no way I am shelling out more than like $20-$30 for it.

Really? ****s sake. Good plan by them - it makes sense. People could easily buy the upgraded version and sell the code for more than $20 or w/e the difference is.

Ya there was a 30 min live stream or so earlier they were showcasing zombies and it looked awesome. Really can't wait for that now it seems like it is going to be a lot of fun.

Some early thoughts on compared to original cod4 (ps4 level 27 - 7 hours played - 69 games of TDM)

Claymores seem less effective
Some of the better sniper spots have been made a little harder to snipe from, views changed, more debris around
Opposition spawns seem to be changed to inhibit streaks a little, less like cod4 more like recent cods
Helicopters seem way less effective, I've had 17 and only gotten 12 kills!

what does it mean when a player on your team is flashing blue on the mini map?
how do you easily add a player?
how do you see your friends KDR etc?

For me personally the game feels way to slow, I left playing cod the 1 before BO3 (sorry can't remember) Then went to play CSGO on PC. The movement feels ways to restricted. The time to die is way to quick. I think they could of cleaned the game up a bit froma graphical point of view, for me it can be kinda hard to see people.

I like the fact it's back though considering all my points against it.

Paid the $80 cause I'm a sucker, but it's good to play CoD4 again. Are only certain maps available in TDM, because it seems like I play the same 5 over and over again. Like others have said, the helicopters are ****ing terrible. I think I've called in like 10 (haven't played much) and gotten maybe 3 kills from them. Their health seems low, and they never shoot at anybody. I had one out for the full duration on Bog with the entire team out in the open and it fired twice. Terrible.

Game is still great, but the amount of M16/sniper whores now is unbearable. I'm trying to use Skorpion, MP5, AK but the M16 seems very OP especially when 80% of the lobby is using it.
