Re: Club Nintendo: Get 'Free' Digital Games

Was platinum somehow and got an email from club nintendo saying I get a free gift... there is a list of things that one could get, one of which was a majora's mask DL for wii, but I ended up getting plastic mario themed playing cards... they look sweet and will be delivered by December 2012 according to nintendo, lol.

Re: Club Nintendo: Get 'Free' Digital Games

Yeah, I actually made a special trip to the store the day before their year ends to buy Donkey Kong Country Returns so I could qualify for Platinum (since every year the Gold reward is a calendar). I was obviously going to get that game eventually anyways, this just means it is sitting in my house collecting dust instead of at a store.

I also got the cards since I am not 12 and won't hang up the posters.

Since they are clear and plastic, I hope they hold up well and can be used for home games or drinking games.

Electroplankton (3DS): 100 coins
Mario Tennis (N64 VC): 150 coins

August Games are:
Bonsai Barber (Wii VC): 150 coins

Re: Club Nintendo: Get 'Free' Digital Games

I am personally unhappy with Nintendo. I purchased the 3DS and I can probably count all the good games that have been released on one hand. They basically just keep making newer versions of Mario, which I will continue to buy. One trick pony. With Sony and Microsoft so superior, it is about time this horse gets taken to the glue factory. Smh

Re: Club Nintendo: Get 'Free' Digital Games

I somehow got lost and their schedule appears messed up. Bonsai Barber which I listed for August are only available through August 5th. Looks like Golf is available for another week after that. So that means we get new games on the 6th? It must've had something to do with the end of the year for Club Nintendo and the Gold/Platinum rewards.

Re: Club Nintendo: Get 'Free' Digital Games

It seems like they are now offering a new game every 2 weeks, and on alternating schedule for the Wii game and the 3DS game.

The last few games for Wii were: Fluidity again and some NES Football game for VC.

But the new game, for 200 coins, is Super Smash Bros, available through 9/16.

I am on the fence about this. I enjoyed the game, but would only be playing it single player and played quite a bit of it on the N64 in the past but never owned it. Also 200 coins is all of my 220 coins I currently have, so that would mean no more games. So I am thinking I will pass hoping they offer something that I haven't played in the past.

God so happy you bumped this, I had forgot .

Just got smash bros, but I had a bundle of coins as this was the first time I've gotten anything... so it made it easy.

Finally got the cards today.

They look great. I might not ever use them as I think they are too nice.

Yeah, I got mine last week. I got an email saying they shipped, but when I got the package I was like WTF is this. And then I thought I had bought a random SNES or N64 game that I didn't remember based on the size. lol me
