I need to upgrade my gfx card. This is my pc https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

paid 500 for it year ago. Need new gfx and psu never put one in before so not sure what would work. just want to be better for new games but not looking to be top of line. Any suggestions?

Id like to spend around 300 give or take and thats including new PSU i would need. Also preferably estay nvidia

1060. You shouldn't need a new PSU as long as you have the right six pin connector

that FX-6300 will be bottleneck for 1060. you will see quite improvement in graphic performance, but not that much as you would see when paired with proper CPU. btw you bought gaming desktop which is not gaming at all

It doesn't bottleneck as much as one might think.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhDuAN0ouoE just skip to 11 min mark for conclusions.

8320 (similar to OP's CPU's performance for gaming purposes) doesn't bottleneck even 1080 that much.

1060 is probably your last upgrade before just dumping the system altogether.
