Weird. It crashed for me a few times in the same void room. The room had 4 buttons and when you pressed the 3rd it crashed every time

Was doing a greedier run with the new character. I voided the d20, blank card, and the nail while also picking up the item that makes a spacebar item trigger twice when used. Then I found an abundance rune.

So I get it to the point where im being pushed around by the chests wobbling in the room. Never broke it that much and it was awesome. Ended up picking up virtually everything in the chests not even on purpose. Go down the floor and fight greed.

Turns out the last couple items I got included ipecac and tiny planet. I go from 2 rows of health to 4 hearts in no time. Couldn't believe I was going to lose the run I finally broke things on.

But then I realized I had gnawed leaf, so I put the controller down and Eve's Dead Bird + the gemini twin eventually killed it. Took ten full minutes lol.

I don't play it as often as I played rebirth when it first came out, but damn it's still fun to do from time to time.

While I don't particularly hate the new dlc I think this is going to be the first time that I don't go for 100% of the achievements and seem not enjoying getting the achievements on top of 1001% and thus playing

I just had my favorite OP run yet. Had Spear of Destiny AND Mom's knife plus lil brim. On a side note it has taken me 18 days to finally beat ??? and the Lamb after a fresh save file with AB+. (just wanted to prove to myself I still suck at this game.)

My latest endeavor has been holding R and trying to do Ultra Hard challenge.

I screwed up two amazing opportunities this weekend. First XL floor 2/3 Guppy items (hairball/tail), Goat Head, The Pact, Satanic Bible.

I died on Boss Rush because I'm a greedy fool.

Second run was a Mom's Knife + 11 health first floor finish. Donked away 5 health in the first room of floor 2 on an admittedly bull**** layout with limited space for dodging and 6 Walking Boil/Gut combo champions. I tilted hard, and was dead before Mom.

Beat Ultra Hard last night (after a bunch of r holding) relying almost solely on Pyromaniac and Little Brim, don't think I ever got a damage upgrade, but got enough bombs to carry me given I could use Little Brim's range to stay out of trouble for the most part. What a grind...though it gave me a much greater appreciation of only getting one curse at a time max.

Man, sorry to whine, I think I really want to quit Isaac, I haven't done almost any Afterbirth+ achievements and every run feels to me rather miserable/boring, mostly because the content is mostly too easy then you meet hush/delirium and get raped. If I don't play I find myself in a mood to play after a few days but at the end of a run I'm most often then not dissatisfied. Is it just me or Isaac has somehow become worse?

Keep in mind it's from a guy who's done everything in all of the isaacs and grinded the **** out of it after each release.

I don't understand why they put a damage cap on those bosses. Part of the fun of the game is getting ridiculously OP and then just tearing through the bosses.

There is no armor on Delirium, he just has a bunch of hp. The armor on Hush is terrible and just a baffling design decision though, don't think I've ever heard anyone defend it or think it is a good idea besides the devs.

I mostly just relied on RNG portals appearing on my Delirium runs (only have Keeper left, blah), it's about 50/50 I think if you get through the chest, if you can manage to do mega-Satan too, then it is like 75% for one to appear. Relying on random chance is better than doing the stupid Hush fight in most instances (barring a Chaos Card for example).

stopped playing as much as i did and decided i wanted to get 1001% now im only one achievement away and its driving me mad trying to get it. after spending years not grabbing items, i am literally conditioned to still do so, but ill get this

ya that totally killed my enjoyment of the game. was the main reason I quit playing.

I came back to this recently after a long hiatus. What were your strategies for Greedier mode? Did you just cheese it to get it over with?

I have to do it still on Lost, Keeper, Blue Baby, Maggy, Samson, and Lazarus. Doing Blue Baby now and I feel like it's way harder than Greed mode was, and am to the point where I'm so sick of losing that I'd rather just hold R until D20 shows up in 1st floor shop. I don't want to think about how ******ed this is going to be for Lost/Keeper.

didnt cheese anything really, never really went for a game breaking run because i just didnt have the patience, swallowed penny/piggy bank is super op for keeper though then you just hope you get some damage, strength card is super strong for keeper also

anyone see a slight problem here?

You forgot to turn on Found HUD?

You used a Strength pill with Keeper to get a third coin/HP?

I just assumed he had Greed's Gullet.

I didn't play Afterbirth much when it came out and hadn't gotten plus, but I just picked plus up and started playing again and I'm working on completing each character. The game feels harder but a bit more balanced now, where you have more options to eke a run out. Jacob's ladder, Tech X and a few of the devil room items are good additions, and a ton of other items that seem mostly only useful for breaking runs like a lot of the trinkets and cards.

I just finished Lost Greedier mode and have mega stan to go before finishing all the characters. Delirium and Hush are fun fights and easily manageable with out crazy builds, and I steam rolled through most of the characters without many tries. The lost greedier fight though was easily the least fun I've had with the game and took forever until I managed a strong guppy build with 9-lives and a chaos card. I insta died on ultra greed but came back and one shot him with the chaos, otherwise there was no way I was going to get him even with 8 more lives and a strong build. They should give the lost the host hat just to make things less painful, I only ever saw it once in a few hundred spawns, and both were when I d4'd into them. I think they did code it so the D4 rolls holy mantle at a higher rate, I rolled it maybe 6 times out of like 100 tries after checking the free item room, but never got a good item to go with it. Although that may have been a bug, 2-3 times I rolled the d4 with the starting two items and came away with 3 items. Maybe it rolled twice somehow?

Did you not unlock the Lost starting with Holy Mantle? Respect on winning all the lost stuff without it if so. The Lost is actually a pretty viable character once you unlock it. The Keeper on the other hand...

Also I thought the Chaos Card couldn't one shot Ultra Greed on Greedier. Doesn't it only kill one of the forms, or is that just Mega Satan/Delirium that are like that?

I didn't have many issues with the Keeper, but I also made a point during his unlocks to bomb any and all pots for that oh-so-useful Swallowed Penny.

Yeah, Swallowed Penny makes it a lot more manageable for sure. Especially if you can get it and Greed's Gullet, then it's a guaranteed win, and not as agonizing of an auto-win as Gnawed Leaf.

I had the mantle, I just suck at dodging Ultra's blastwave attack and coin explosions. The chaos card kills one phase of the fight, I took down greed then used it on ultra. I think the red bomb active item probably does the same thing, I was thinking I'd snag that and use it on ultra but came across the chaos card first.

Lost unlocks at the beginning of rebirth were bad though, I managed to clear it without mantle before they patched him starting with it with some crazy OP build and even cleared mega stan thinking we had to kill him for the achievement. I forgot I haven't opened the keeper yet, I still have like 50 coins to go and I'm so sick of greed mode
