Say you're running straight ahead. You will freeze in place for a second, then teleport forward 10 ft and resume normal running, then freeze/teleport, repeat. It's like you're stuck then you launch forward.

Ah yeah that makes sense thanks. I remember that happening before internet got fast. CSS was terrible for it at first.

Hardline delayed until early 2015 now.

Not quite sure how I feel about that. It will force me to get destiny and give that a proper go which can't be a bad thing.

Hopefully they release an unplanned extra map pack for bf4 premium to fill the gap as we only have one scheduled pack left.

Ugh, picked it up a week ago. Forgot how much of a pain in the butt it is to get the recon stuff unlocked.

Picked this up for about 16 bucks off ebay for Xbone. Have been playing a bit of team deathmatch just to get to know some of the maps I guess and get used to the game. I have never played a battlefield game before and I generally suck at FPS games. Any suggestions for a noob? I like the game so far but seem to be getting owned on some of the bigger maps (like the dam one). Does tagging enemies like in the campaign work the same as in multiplayer? I haven't quite figured that out yet. Any other noob tips would be appreciated. Been playing in assault class for the most part to try to upgrade the AR. What gun in the assault class should I use?

if using assault i prefer the scar. not to hard to control plus increased damage vs other gun. m416 is good also. if your playing team deathmatch and having trouble use recon. unlock the tugs and motion sensor balls find an area on a map you like plant the tugs into the ground and roam around within range of the tugs. use carbines with recon, i generally use the akc or sg53. use offensive perk and impact grenades. chainlink is also pretty fun. conquest maps are huge and generally not much action but if you like to snipe conquest is good for that

It may have been answered already and for that I apologize. What are these battle packs that unlock?

Open them and you'll see.

There are XP boosts, accessories, camos, etc. in each one. You should be able to always play with XP boosts. There's really no reason not to. I have 100+ hours worth of them.

Only bought this game a few weeks ago so still learning the ins and outs of the game. Realized I had like 30 or so of these battle packs to open, lol.

Spotting is a huge benefit.
Ace 23 > everything else

You can use weapon chart to get a better idea of weapons. As assault, I like using F2000 for its high RPM in close quarter maps and SCAR-H for its higher damage in open maps.

use the supressor also nevr understood why people wanna show up on the mini map

Because a suppressor lowers your bullets' muzzle velocity. Some guns don't work that well with an even lower velocity, especially on large maps.

That's like 1000x less detrimental than showing up on the map every time you fire.

Depends if you just want to min-max or play different gun setups. Some guns are unplayable on large maps with a suppressor. Big TTK and huge aim lead make popping up on the map a minor problem.

If we are talking always using the best gun, well, yeah, suppressor is very good obv.

You are right imo, but sometimes I go for the best sounding gun in order to get full BF experience.

I usually discard my main weapon on spawn and run around with my knife and pistol and smoke grenade. I can see the fear in peoples eyes when I emerge from the smoke at full pelt with knife drawn as they think to themselves what a fkn psycho.

I admit it sounds way better w/o the suppressor.

Obliteration is officially my favorite game mode ever. So much fun...even though I may not yet know how to play it effectively. Every time I get the bomb to carry it to the objective I don't seem to get very far. I think the farthest I've gotten is maybe half way there across the map. I guess the only way to get it there is by a vehicle or be picked up by a helicopter? By the time I'm able to get in one I'm surrounded and get killed. Still so much fun though. It does feel like a rugby or football match or something...with guns and ****. I feel like if I can get the bomb pretty close to the objective then that's a win because it seems like someone else always ends up detonating it.

A squad with a helo can destroy obliteration. Pick up bomb, jump into hovering heli and fly to objective. Plant and defend with 4 men, score.

is this better than hardline? i was waiting for hardline as a replacement of cod (have always played the cod series), but ive read ist more like a gta/watchdogs game than a cod/bf game?
