Re: Battlefield 3

I don't know what you're talking about and how that has anything to do with this game.

I'm pretty sure you know exactly what I'm talking about, and I'm sure others have the same complaint.

I've never had that problem unless I was wearing my contact lenses instead of my glasses, which is why I asked about your vision.

I'm getting Battlefield 2 off amazon, a few friends got back into it to hold them over until 3 comes out.

Re: Battlefield 3

There is a huge difference between COD and BC2 in terms of the ability to distinguish the enemy from the environment.

Didn't you ever hear of snipers sitting way back and picking off people? I know countless times my friends and I were trying to find snipers, but we couldn't figure out where they were shooting us from because we couldn't see them at all.

Re: Battlefield 3

I'm not saying there isn't a difference between BC2 and COD - I always hope there is a difference between those two games. I'm saying I don't have the problem you are describing. Snipers in ghillie suits should be hard to find, but I've never found it impossible.

Re: Battlefield 3

No, the game got annoying because you could barely distinguish the enemy from the background. In a game that needs "spotting" means there is some degree of inability to spot the enemy without the help of an orange triangle. I'd go many games rapidly hitting select just to see if there was anybody hiding.

Do I really need to say it again? It has nothing to do with "pixel camping." Good word, bro.

I know there are other people who know what I'm talking about, but they aren't saying anything either because they don't read this thread because they don't care about the next Battlefield game, or that they just don't care to get involved in a discussion that all started from just a general observation.

I'm done talking about it. If you don't have a problem with it, fine. If you do, fine. I couldn't care less either way. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

The purpose of the "spotting" button is to allow for team communication with regards to the location of enemies. This way the entire team knows where a bad guy is, much like in real life, one could radio in and give the location of an enemy. In BC2, there is no team "radio broadcast" button so they used the spotting method. In the hardcore mode, you don't get the triangle over the head, it just shows up on the map.

BC2 just plays bigger...to get to the action on the first set of crates on Harvest Day you probably traverse the length of 2-3 COD style maps. Do you think you could easily see people in a dark window across 2 map lengths on COD? Do you think COD could maintain its texture quality and resolution if it had to run maps several times larger?

Well then my only response to this is that I like smaller maps where texture quality, resolution, and being able to distinguish the enemy from the environment is not an issue.

I'm only talking about Bad Company 2. I have no idea what BF2 looks like, I've never played it.

No, but I have played BC2 on an HDtv and it didnt make a difference.

I've played many, many days of MW2 on a non-HDtv and never had a problem. It has nothing to do with my tv or my eye sight.

I'm really done talking about it. Seems like I'm in the minority. I must have a defective game.

This was done.

The console progamers got CRUUUUUUSHED by the PC progamers and it wasn't even close.

In fact, they tried pro console gamers vs randoms with mouse/keyboard and the console guys still got crushed.
