Couple things I hate off the bat

can't custom your set up while loading a map

Can't exit main menu after round unless it's first 10 seconds

Be nice if showed in lobby all friends that's are in waiting to join game together. Instead of the little bar bitten right.

When playing conquest or any big game. It lags while trying scroll to bottom leaderboard (get better I guess)

I read somewhere (possibly ITT) that it is intended that you will be able to customize your loadout from the main menu, but that it's still buggy and will be patched in later. I don't recall ever being able to customize loadout while loading a map in BF4, so I doubt that will ever happen.

But you could always customize your loadouts in menus. You can't even do that now. It's probably like you said: because it's buggy. The PS4 menus are horrible.

I was a yuge fan of the franchise (1942, sekret weapons, vietnam, etc) so I really think I'd enjoy this. Is it possible for console players to play with PC players or are those servers segregated? Also is it moddable like 1942 was?

And yes, I think that the player bases are segregated. Not sure why you'd want to play with us PC folks anyway -- we'd smoke you. Keyboard/mouse is just a superior control scheme when it comes to being accurate.

I'm PC as well, have a PS2 collecting dust in my closet but that's the last console I bought heh

Some of the best times I had in any game were playing the old battlefield 1942 and those cool modded maps like the Desert Storm stuff, I'd still be playing 1942 if it was still around

Hardcore mode is basically one shot kills. That's coming soon I believe.

What are some solid go-to guns? I'm just starting out and don't have much unlocked yet. I have been playing mostly medic and assault. I like the starting medic rifle but the magazine is only 10 rounds and that gets me in trouble a lot. Don't care for the first few assault guns.

Medic: Lots of folks use the Mondragon Storm, but I prefer the Selbstlader Optical. Larger clip and more easily controlled. For closer combat there is a full-auto medic weapon which is OK.

Assault: Hellriegal is the most popular (you will need to wait until level 10), but I prefer the Automatico Storm. The Model 10-A shotgun is a lot of fun too.

Support: BAR is the most popular but I find the 20 round clip limiting. I prefer the MG15 N.A. Lightweight. Huge clip and a reasonable reload time.

Marksman: Martini Henry (you will need to wait until level 10). I don't really play this role because I believe it's fairly useless on Operations (and most game modes).
