I'm terrible at the game, but it's really cool so far.

Problem is, I am having tons of trouble getting onto the EA servers. Failing to connect errors all over the place. Got on after a few minutes after installing and played for about an hour before the game froze (up until then, no gameplay/performance issues). Now I can't get back on a server even though my internet connection is fine.

EDIT: Finally connected, but now can't join a game. Oh, well. I'll give up until maybe late tonight.

For the little bit that I was actually able to access a server, I played as a Medic. I had no idea how to revive anyone at first, but I figured it out. One of the medic's "weapons" is a syringe. When I saw a teammate down, I went up to him, equipped the syringe, and "shot" him with it.

Most of the time, I couldn't get to someone in time to revive them. Either that or I would get killed by the same guy who got my teammate.

gameplay and graphics are great but the weapons in the beta ****ing suck. the medium range weapons are complete ****. outta a 30 round clip im lucky to hit the enemy 3 times even if i have him in my sights. the only decent guns to use are ****ing single shot rifles or snipers then your ****ed at close range. not happy so far

I was able to get on the server around 8:15pm ET. The matchmaking didn't work, so I had to manually select a server. All that were populated were full (only a handful), so I put myself on a short waiting list and eventually played for a few minutes (not because of problems, just because my kids came home from a walk and this game is not what I would call appropriate for elementary school kids).

Yeh, had to do the same. Quick match wasn't working. Joined some European server though. Worked fine.

Pro tip - turn off motion blur. Makes everything clearer and cleaner. Also, widen the fov a little. Makes everything look better on consoles. Motion blur makes me a little dizzy

Anyway, got my first kill on a horse using a sword. God damn that was satisfying.

So this is going to be the best FPS in a while? Haven't enjoyed a FPS since COD: WaW. Didn't play the last 3 CODs. Worth buying as a moderate fps fan?

Bf4 is still great and active. But yeh, this will probably be the best newest fps for a while. The new cod's don't interest me. Not feelin all the futuristic crap

The limited loadout options and/or folks' lack of experience allowed me to never die as a heavy tank. Went like 50-0 on rush with it. The game seems fun overall, but it's hard to tell because 80% of the players seem to be new to the BF franchise and have no idea what they're doing. Also depends heavily on if the bf4 pop moves over.

The one time I got in a plane, I couldn't figure out how to make it go up, so I immediately crash landed.

R3 switches camera view on PS4, I also am not good at controlling a plane with these controls and crash it a lot, can't shoot anything.

Game seems OK. Good fun when things are going well. Performance is not good. Only played Conquest

Sniping is viable? People who sucked complained so much about snipers in COD that they pretty much made it unviable with tiny maps and very few spots so they were obvious/ you couldn't move around.

I tried this on PS4 last night. It was ok and times and terrible at others. Way too many people just screwing around.

I found it really hard to spot the other team but finally started to get the hang. Will definitely be better with organized squads instead of randos running around like idiots.
