Re: BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY thread

i dont know, i guess ive never tried. it does show level 6 as the max level tho, and that sounds a little "gamefaqs rumor"y

but always take out the ninjas immediately. they are brutal if youre knocking around other thugs with them circling you... that why i like to fight the thugs on the far side, then as soon as they spawn whip-beatdown one, the other will usually give you a blade counter during. you become invincible when doing the blade counter, so time is not an issue... but the long time for normal counter you mentioned is the reasoning behind the bolas during beatdown. you can fling as many as 3 mid beatdown without losing it.

Re: BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY thread

To someone who's never played any Batman game before, should I get this game or Arkham Asylum? (Or both?)

both for sure! Start with AA! You can get it pretty cheap now anyways.

Also Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC out today! Good review from IGN: http://ca.ign.com/articles/2012/05/2...revenge-review

Asylum helps explain Joker's and Bane's story in Arkham City.

Re: BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY thread

Yes I would advise get AA first as well. There are a few reasons for that

1) It's cheaper. If you don't like it, less money "wasted" (yet this is highly unlikely)

2) There are some gameplay enhancements in AC. If you played AC first, you might get frustrated in AA because certain moves wouldn't work.

---

How is Harley Quinn pack? Worth the $10, does it have any challenge maps? Cheers

Re: BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY thread

Just finished this game, so awesome, IMO improved on AA in just about every way.

I was curious to see who they would have as the main villain. Going into it I thought that the only main villains there could be in a Batman game of many Batman villains, would be Joker and Ra's, and they ended up being the co-main villains, while also having a different final boss, which was cool.

Oddly enough the GOTY edition was only 29.99 at the store I went to, while the original was 39.99, so the Harley pack was included. There's nothing special about the Harley pack, but I think it's worth the 10 bucks if only because it's more fun, and there is another surprise.

I heard scarecrow is somehow the main villain in the next game. Totally agree it was as good if not better than advertised.

Just beat the first run through of this game... I only got about 49% overall though and I'm just starting the second run through. Upping this thread for easy reference for myself. :tu

Early rumors has the next installment being a prequel of the golden age batman detailing his first meeting with The Joker and will also include--hopefully playable--Justice League characters. Thinking of a Superman or Green Latern with the level of advanced controls in the Arkham series has me :wow:wow

Re: BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY thread

EFF this game. I spent good money on it (PC version), and it's glitched imo. It's pretty frustrating because I wanted to play this game to the end. When it's time to find Mr. Freeze, one has to go to a museum or something iirc and confront Penguin. Throw the remote batarang over a gate to switch, gate opens, use decoder on a keypad and then use electrical thing on an elevator. THE ELEVATOR NEVER RISES FOR ME!!! I've tried both up/down commands and shot at the generator every which f'ing way, never rises. I've tried it on two different comps and the elevator never goes up. WTF

It's not a glitch. Electricity matters, and batarangs can carry an electric charge. Just need to find a way to charge it.

Re: BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY thread

oh you're telling me I throw the batarang at it, is that really how it works? I've been using the thing that shoots electrical balls...

If you're at the part i think you're at you need to throw the batarang through an electrical arc that is located on a wall and then turn that same batarang around and hit the door switch with it
