Egh I'm so paranoid of trash mobs my tornadoes kill dropping legendary that I never see but if I f around with trash mobs I lose my WoTB a lot quicker and the run takes quite a bit longer. Where's the happy medium? Is it worth inspecting everything for loot drops?

finally hit 60 basically the second i beat hell and am planning on selling off all my gear (prob 15 mil worth) now that i've started inferno.

have a WW build that I want to stick with but really only play this game for the drops (like everyone else?) and upgrading my items etc.

curious as to what you guys would do with 15 mil and basically 0 gear. although i might keep some of it (none of it is +all res, basically all +crit dmg/chance +str/vit) i want to be able to do A3 inferno runs and not worry about dying that much. in inferno is it basically essential to have a ton of +all res, +str/vit, and +LOH?

right after 60 i put up the stuff on AH i knew for sure i was upgrading. basically was using a 950 dps main hand w crit dmg and +300 LOH with a 800 second hand +crit dmg

Search up several posts and find the WW video that was linked. That should answer all of your questions about what you need to do.

imo it's better being sword and board and stacking mf if you're in act1 or 2 inferno

if you're <60, cleave with rupture, sprint with marathon and a level reduced weapon is really all you need for it to be super fast

Thanks so much Silman, that is exactly what I was looking for.

Yeah, my barb is at level 33 or so. I tried it out last night at it burns mana so quickly.

anyone tried ww with a 2 hander?
I´ve looked at the 2 handers and you can increase dps a lot and get like 1500 LoH easily for very cheap.
Is attack speed that much important?
There are 2 handers out there with 250 vit 150 crit damage 1500 LoH and 1300 dps for less or around 5M.

So after selling off my stuff (around 15 mil worth) i bought another 20 mil and basically completely regeared. I still have 7mil or so with another ~10mil worth of stuff i need to sell.

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/m...9/hero/6643037

Should this be enough +AR? Should I get something else with Life Steal since i'm using Sever? Didn't have much time to play after doing this so I'm still on A1 Inferno and haven't tested it out much. Figured it's more than enough until I hit A3 and even then it probably will be? Like I said I still have a bunch of gold so I could get a new weapon and will probably upgrade the left ring. Actually just realized the gloves I got don't have +STR too...

Not sure why I went with that helm without AR since I kept my old bracers that didn't have any either.

Yeah, you need quite a bit more all resist - you can probably afford to lose some crit for it

you also need to use war cry's "Impunity" rune not "Charge!"

I haven't played around with sever+life steal, but I suspect just having a lot of LoH is better

also probably one of the defensive passives over animosity

Any thoughts on where I should upgrade next? I do fine in a3, but it's sort of slow going. A lot of my stuff is pretty barebones, so I'm sure I could use help in a lot of slots. Stats are with nerves of steel/weapon master/ruthless. War Cry is not on. Thanks!

1st step upgrade ur gem to +90% crit its cheap like 5M.
then more crit damage since ur other stats looks ok close to mines actually.

http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/B.../hero/12118982

im at the point where upgrades cost a lot and have to make a lot of gold now to upgrade one stuff.
also Im now looking for kinda huge upgrade per slot now and not gonna just win few stats on one item so I guess Im gonna have to save at least 50M to have some choice for one item.
immortal set is soooo expensive and Im so broke lol, only 5M left I have to find good loot.

edit:actually if you get a sword instead of a mace u get 15% bonus damage with weapon master.
also u need either a dagger or a sword ur attack speed is too slow.

You'll also want to get as much movement speed as possible. Get some Lacuni Prowlers (though ones with Crit/All Res are very very expensive) and 12% boots.

I'd say before you go blow a huge load on new gear wait to see how you fair after 1.0.5 patch since it's reducing incoming damage by 25%.

Hey all! I stopped playing a couple months ago after I beat Diablo b/c it was getting boring, thinking about getting back into it now that they have these paragon levels. They really changed a lot! I can't believe they made it even easier with patch 1.04, didn't see that coming.

anyway, I have a classic sword/board tank style barbarian that can farm acts 3/4, but it looks like everyone is using this WW barb now post-1.04. Is it worth it for me to regear and try to play this style? If so, I have about 50M gold, will that be enough to get decent WW gear? Some of my armor should be fine, but I'll prob have to switch out about half of it.

yeah switch for sure 50 mil is enough. ww barb is the best. they smash really quickly. might get nerfed but who knows.

I know tornadoes are based off main-hand damage but what is better... high min or high max? I've got two choices in maces right now, they're only 2 DPS apart but the damage is very different:

497 - 1104
580 - 1018

I only noticed this because I bought another mace to flip and was comparing to what I'm currently using. Now I'm not sure which I should keep and which I should sell.

edit: or is it averaged?

afaik it's not averaged, however it does tick very fast (twice as fast as the average attackspeed of your two weapons taking into account the free 15% haste from dual wielding) so weapon damage range doesn't really matter

top priority: fix that red gem in helm to a better one
2nd priority: upgrade crit gems in weapons
3rd priority: upgrade boots to 12% ms
4th priority: get one of Tyrael's might, Lacuni Prowlers, The Compass Rose to get up to 24% ms
5th priority: get higher dps mainhand
6th priority: try and get more crit damage on things that can have it (esp offhand)

I'd link my toon but I'm at work and can't get into battle.net from behind this sonic wall, it's under darkphoenix#1646.

So I've been tinkering with my barbarian the last couple weeks trying to get him clearing act 3 a bit quicker(and with less dying). My budget has been tight but I've been slowly upgrading pieces as I can but I still seem to find that a dual wield set-up(950ish main hand axe with str/vita/ias/60% crit gem and low dps str/950+ LoH/60% crit) leaves me too squishy. As a result I've been tinkering with a sword and board WW setup that seems to keep me alive a lot better but the killing is just so slow on champion packs.

Right as I was about to log off today I looted a 1k+ dmg mace with int and around 700ish LoH(I think it's still equipped because I wanted to see what the dps change would be compared to my normal one...it was about -3k dps). I realize that it's not socketed, which is a big minus, and it's got int as well as no stamina but I'm tempted to give it a try because dual-wielding it with my normal OH I'll be somewhere near 2500 LoH. Do you think that the reduced health and strength will be overcome by the greatly increased LoH?

Other than that, I'm looking for some tips about where I can improve my gear with the best bang for the buck. My first priority is getting a much nicer MH weapon but my stuff hasn't been selling on the AH lately so the big price tags on 1.1k+ stuff stings a whole bunch. Any advice greatly appreciated.

From the new patch notes:

Battle Rage
Duration increased from 30 seconds to 120 seconds

Sprint
Skill Rune – Run Like the Wind
Proc coefficient reduced from 0.2 to 0.08

Any clue what this will do to the WW build? maybe this makes sprint make a max of 2 tornadoes instead of 4/5?
Barbarian Thread Quote

wow, I think that might be pretty huge to be honest. The way I'm reading it tornadoes will be reduced by more than half. It will require a lot more fury generation to attain the same result.

Does this also make the animosity passive a must have now for WW barbs? Seems like a huge gain to boost the fury regen from 10% to 20%.

ww now costs 9 rage down from 16 though, and that's the main fury spender

I think keeping ww happening will be about the same (maybe even easier since rage will be less spikey)

but keeping wotb up will be much harder

and obv loh is much worse, but at higher levels of gear that matters less since you can just get life steal (and life per fury spent)
