Any Interest in compiling our own 100 best games of all time list?
 

I had an idea I think might be fun. Instead of the usual individual lists each person nominates A game with a write up and Pic, others can then second or deny If a game gets five backers its in as one of the best 100. If you deny you need to have at least a sentence to explain why. Deny isn't a veto it acts like removing a second so controversial choices can be fought over.
We can have the fight over the definition of best before we start that's if any ones interested?

It invented the modern MMORPG genre, it's got all kinds of great features that even all the newer MMOs lack like persistent player-owned architecture, and it's currently the longest continually running MMORPG of all time.

There is allready a pretty huge thread about this called "name your top 10 games" or so...
Would be cool to count all the mentioned games in that thread to make a "top 20" 2+2 list....

This game was a pearl to anyone lucky enough to find it. Quirky humor and the Japanese rendition of small town American charm made this game so fun. Plus the music was I think some of the best music from the snes era.

Really made the Total War franchise pop to life the graphics were great for the time.

I believe it is the most well rounded platformer of all time with some difficult parts and a bit of collecting items, but not overboard like Donkey Kong 64. All the levels have memorable music that fit perfectly with the theme of the level, and the game also never seems to drag on, great from start to finish.

I agree, final trigger 7 was a good game.

I'll toss out the nomination of Team Fortress 2. Most fun I've had with a shooter ever, never really gets old. Fun community, great support, etc...

I second Earthbound, one of my favorite games of all time. I'll go ahead and nominate Super Mario 64

Obviously a legendary game that brought Mario to life in 3d for the first time. The platforming elements are about as tight as can be, the worlds are extremely memorable, and the music creates a perfect atmosphere at almost all times. A no-brainer imo.

I'll also second Chrono Trigger.
