My friend thinks COD is easier than GOW3: and hes going to lay me odds - Video Games

He said he has a 1.7KDR in Gears and can easily get it in COD.

we are talking XBOX here

Im thinking there is no way in hell; he crushes GOW; prolly cause no one of skill plays it imo.

Am I wrong? He said 1.7kdr is easy to get in COD...thoughts?

Im thinking I give him 30days, and we bet $300

has to be team deathmatch, and he said "any COD he wants" which should be fine, as I feel like the older ones will have less recreational players/more skilled players in general

I have a 1.6 KDR basically using any weapon/playing any game I feel like trying whenever I want and generally not caring about KDR. However if someone was betting me money I could get 10+ KDR playing team deathmatch fairly easily. So what I am saying is that most people could get a 1.7 KDR w/ one hand if that was all they cared about.

Your money is essentially gone already.

However if you could modify the bet to include a w/l ratio and/or change the gametype then you might have a real sweat.

It's certainly doable for a good gears player. The fact he said any cod makes me think you are toast. The theory about older games being harder might be partially true but this could probably be argued against simply because they are cheaper than most new releases.

I play a lot of cod and it's common to see complete noobs on cod4 and it came out in 2007.

I'd imagine the older ones have more noobs because the serious players generally care enough to get the latest thing.

1.7 should be pretty easy to achieve if he has the patience to camp and is a little bit better than average. I've seen a number of players with 1.5kdrs and like .5 win/loss because they just crouch in corners with heartbeat sensors or danger close OMA tubing or what have you.

You'd need to make some rules about how many total kills he has to get or time logged playing or something too.

Well I havent checked his GOW KDR, obv there would be a sample size requirement for the KDR, whatever it would be assuming he avg 3hrs a day playing.

Hes not bad but I always thought a 1.7kdr was hard to get.

Most people like to try different loadouts, make risky moves, sometimes just don't care or play drunk/high, etc. If you're playing for money it's easy to plug a lot of those leaks.

are we talking about MW3? Since you are so sure of it, I would like some odds but I'd take this bet. There would have to be some w/l requirements/minimum kills, and you'd have to be playing with all randoms, no team play.

LMAO. Hate to say it, but I think most COD players are just people who couldn't handle CS/Quake WHATEVER FPS before COD. Or their computers can't handle 1.6/Source...not sure which one is more pathetic.
