Omaha 8/B Question from TxRedMan Omaha 8/B Question from TxRedMan

"assume the game is middle limit 15-30 up to 75-150.

assume the game is good for a good player.

using your knowledge of the average middle limit game in regards to passivity/aggressiveness, do you play more passive preflop, or more aggressive?

(contrast to your hold'em aggression/passivity)"

If the reason the game is good is because they are playing more like 5-10 players you would obviously give up on preflop raises designed to get players to fold and add extra hands to limp with. You would do this to a greater extent in Omaha 8/B than you would in holdem. Others can elaborate.

I really would like you to elaborate. I honestly feel I know more about LO8 than any other poster on this site, maybe anyone I've ever heard of, so I'd like to hear some of your thoughts on the game. Not to flatter you, just to hear an opinion I've yet to hear. I saw you at Bellagio last week and almost introduced myself, but you seemed to be in a rush. Also, a guy at my table commented that you won't play 1-2 unless there's three people at the table hooked up to oxygen tanks and another three people falling out of their chairs drunk. I thought that was funny. I don't know who he was, but apparently he was pals with Orel Herschiser, who was playing some 10-20 NL.

This totally depend on the texture of the game.

Push and pull for value in each unique situation.
